I wonder who colon_pow is endorsing.

FTFA: "There is no pure competitor of the United States of America," Powell said. "All the problems we talk about in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran ... they count about 700 million people in a world of seven billion. What are the rest of them doing? They're increasing their economies, they're building wealth, they're educating their kids, they're building their infrastructure. That's what we need to be doing."

No, we obviously need to be focused on the singular goal of beating Obama. And ending a woman's right to choose. And tax cuts for the wealthiest few. I mean, duh.

Don't forget those PNAC guys and other Bush advisors on Rmoney's foreign policy team.

Endorsements from Colin Powell should be treated like those from Charles Manson. Except Manson has less blood on his hands.

You know, Powell, if it weren't for hitching your horse to W, you probably could have been the first black president yourself. You idiot.

He's waiting for a Log Cabin Republican to enter the race.

Don't forget dealing with the "gay problem", a not-increasing-fast-enough wealth gap problem, Obama's Anti-Zionist Monsterqueef, and Matthew McConaghey's rampant drug use and bongo playing.

"Come on Mitt, think."

Romney is still a republican, right? That could prove difficult.

Poopspasm: Romney is still a republican, right? That could prove difficult.

This.

Whatever Colin Powell's faults and shortcomings are, he at least has some semblance of cognitive ability. And that puts him quite at odds with what is now the mainstream Republican Party.

The whole Republican game plan for a good while has been to scare voters with either internal enemies (Negros, illegals, gays, etc.) or external enemies (Communists, Muslims, etc.)

Colin Powell's advice about what is important does not fit into the Republican world view:

"What are the rest of them doing? They're increasing their economies, they're building wealth, they're educating their kids, they're building their infrastructure. That's what we need to be doing."

If Colin Powell endorses Obama again, I might have to check out the Green Party candidate.

That said, from where I'm sitting it looks like Romneys' only policy is War, war, more war.

Mitt Romney is paid not to think.

I am jealous of your ability to maintain such a simplistic world view.

Lunaville: If Colin Powell endorses Obama again, I might have to check out the Green Party candidate.

Why? There's nothing Obama (or any candidate) can do to prevent anyone from endorsing them.

Not only does Manson have less blood on his hands, but he had less relevant life experience to inform him of the potential consequences of his actions. One could argue that Cheney and Bush were ignorant, perhaps, even stupid and so relatively innocent in a sense. Colin Powell, however, knew better.

Colin Powell is waiting to see who the Republican nominee is. You know what that means? He holding out for RON PAUL!

Say what you will about Powell, but his assessment is right on the money when it comes to other countries educating themselves and raising their standard of living while we get ruined by a bunch of Reagan enthusiasts who even Zombie Reagan would recoil from muttering ...the horror...the horror

So now Colin Powell is a racist too.

Plus, in order to be black and Republican and be a public figure and have anyone listen to you in the party, you generally have to be a genuine flipping nutjob like Keyes or Cain.
