schattenteufel: In 1997, at the Gartner Symposium and ITxpo97, the CEO of Dell Computer offered his solution to Apple's problems. "What would I do? I'd shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders," Michael Dell said. At that time Apple was trading at $17 a share. It's now trading at around $420.

I sometimes feel bad for business owners, especially small business owners. They followed their dream to create a business that they need to run day in and day out. At some point, doesn't that become tiresome and depressing? They can't easily escape the business without risking ruining the business itself, but the day by day drudgery and repetitiveness of it must be depression-inducing.

Then I remember they are rich and that makes me feel less bad for them.
