FTFA: "It's the first time he will have ever missed a curtain in his entire life," Sternberg said. "He's never missed stage, screens in film or television. His understudy has never gone on in 40-plus years," she said.

We have a suspect.

Dozens of people are spontaneously hit by cars each year. It's just not really widely reported.

/At least it wasn't a bizarre gardening accident.

I hate when an actor/celebrity I like has their life put into Jeopardy :(

There are so many movies I love that he's been in... a great comedian, musician, intellectual, and all-around good guy.

I was hit by a car once and while I wasn't seriously injured, it's the kind of thing that really messes with your head. I hope he gets well quickly and that he doesn't have to deal with the mental stuff with crossing streets. It's one of those things where you know it's irrational but you still feel a twinge of panic when you have to cross a busy street.

/Going on vacation to Delhi forced me to get over it real fast

Get well Michael. I hope David St. Hubbins wasn't hurt. I feel bad for thinking this but I hope that Jeanine Pettibone got the worst of it.

/And I'm gonna cry, cry, cry all the way home.

//He should have never done no wanderin'

///Hope his hospital isn't some Hell Hole like Stonehenge

The primary list of suspects includes:

Stumpy (1963-1964) Jumped out of the 20th floor window after a band practice went sideways and disappeared before hitting the ground. Presumed abducted by aliens and playing drums in a band somewhere in the universe.

John "Stumpy" Pepys (1964-1966) Believed to have died in a bizarre gardening accident, that the authorities said was "best left unsolved."

Eric "Stumpy Joe" Childs (1966-1967) Believed to have choked on vomit of unknown origin, perhaps but not necessarily his own, because "[y]ou can't really dust for vomit."

Peter "James" Bond (1967-1977) Believed to have spontaneously combusted.

Mick Shrimpton (1977-1982) Believed to have exploded onstage.

Joe "Mama" Besser (1982) Claimed he "couldn't take this 4/4 shait"; according to an MTV interview with Spinal Tap in November 1991, he disappeared along with the equipment during their Japanese tour. He is believed to be either dead or playing jazz.

Richard "Ric" Shrimpton (1982-1999) Allegedly sold his dialysis machine for drugs; presumed dead.

Sammy "Stumpy" Bateman (1999-2001) Believed to have died trying to jump over a tank full of sharks while on a tricycle in a freak show.

Scott "Skippy" Scuffleton (2001-2007) Fate unknown.

Chris "Poppa" Cadeau (2007-2008) Believed to be eaten by his pet python Cleopatra.

He will always be Mr. Green for me!

Holy shiat. This upsets me greatly, as Michael McKean is one of my favourite actors. I even sat through Young Doctors in Love, just because he was in it. It's a pretty horrid film. He was awesome as the asshole neighbour in The Brady Bunch Movie, and the songs he and Annette O'Toole wrote for A Mighty wind are just fantastic.

I hope he gets better soon. I really didn't need to read about this this morning. :(

2012-05-23 06:00:43 AM
Here's hoping for a full recovery.

He's so amazing in everything that I forgot about Laverne & Shirley.

Morris!

Married to Annette O'Toole? He's going to be fine.

I would come back from hell for that.
