Let's go with their assumption that Obama had bad SAT scores. Affirmative action alone gave him the chance to get into Harvard. Once at Harvard, Obama did brilliant enough work to he graduated magna cum laude (meaning he had at least a 3.75 GPA). His work was so outstanding that he was very successful as the president of the Law Review. Clearly, low SAT scores did not properly assess his abilities. This means that affirmative action is actually a good policy. Neither Mitt nor the last Bush president had nearly as high a GPA. Clearly, letting candidates in because they are rich does not find the better candidates, affirmative action does.

I had a really long sentence that I broke into three. I am my own worst editor, but I stand by my point. If Obama had low SATs, then his work at Harvard show that SATs are not accurate assessments for all people. Affirmative action clearly picked the better candidate. Somehow, I don't think this is what the people at Breitbart want to prove.

That settles it. I'm not letting Obama into my university.

SATs are a good assessing tool but shouldn't be relied upon as the sole tool. Most effective educators realize this. As to the editing thing, my brain automatically supplied the correction in context. I personally consider myself to be one of the worst self editors EVAR.

As for Sat scores, I don't think they mean a whole lot. I scored 1350 (640 verbal-710 math) in the fog of a 3 alarm hangover and the biggest stoner I graduated with scored a perfect 1600.
