Was his death a result of a heart attack from a heated battle over who has control over the remote?

Woah, a very strong contender for HOTY

/bows to subby

Subby, if I could find the damn Funniest button, I would click it countless times in machine gun fashion while muttering "What the hell is wrong with this damn thing!"

So, he's in standby mode?

An Oatmeal comic told me that Nikola Tesla invented the remote control?

/And also made love to a bird.

Very strong headline subby, kudos!

Just change his batteries, he'll be good as new, albeit sticky and covered with Cheetos and coins.

Subby is either this morning's DJ on WROR, or totally stole this joke from him.

Subby, I salute you.

Thanks, Mr. Polley

I'm pretty sure Johnny Carson made this joke in both 1988 and 1993.

Just smack him on the ass or take his cover off and spin the batteries. You'll squeeze a few more weeks out of him yet.

Really? All this praise for an old joke? Here, let me try:

The inventor of the VCR died. Officials announced there will be funeral services at

[at a cemetery]
Homer: I sure could go for a hot dog right about now...
Marge: Homer, we're at a funeral.
Hot Dog Vendor: Hot dogs. Get your hot dogs here.
Homer: Woohoo!
Marge: Do you follow my husband around?
Hot Dog Vendor: Lady, he's putting my kids through college.

Nicola Tesla died recently? Could've sworn he died years ago.

I remember when TV's had knobs for channels, volume, on/off. It had "bunny ears" and it only got 5 channels on a good day (bad days, only got one channel: "off"). and "remote control" was Dad telling me what channel, how loud, move the bunny ears, turn it on/off.

Yes, I am older than dirt, why do you ask?

Hey-ohhhhhh

Subby's headline is a rather remote possibility.

I went for the more direct route, but was way too late.

Inventor of the TV remote control dies, will be buried between couch cushions

2012-05-22 06:18:25 PM
wow, that headline is giving me major deja vu.

I'm sure i've heard/seen that joke before SOMEWHERE

Cobalt O'Bunion said "the inventor of the TV remote has died. The family has decided to follow his final wishes. He will be buried between two couch cushions."

But the joke was too obvious.
