I'm just glad no more farm.

Spad31: Where the fark is Carl? Lori? WTF? Carl, stay in the farking HOUSE!

There's a pretty obvious "Tropic Thunder" joke about where Lori is ...

I think T-Dog had more dialogue in that clip than all of last season.

Spad31: Where the fark is Carl? Lori? WTF? Carl, stay in the farking HOUSE!

Hopefully they're dead. Comic Carl is cool, tv Carl is a farking plot device.

Nobody outright says that they're in a prison

Given that the last shot of S2 was the prison, I'm guessing it's the prison.

2012-05-22 02:05:44 AM
Fun Fact: Andrew Lincoln's real last name is "Clutterbuck".

2012-05-22 02:10:55 AM
Dammit, no video for Canada?

2012-05-22 02:14:47 AM
Don't care. Call me when season 3 of MLP drops.

Farkin' 20 times better, even if the target audience was originally 8 year old girls.

Gale Anne Hurd is apparently "nobody," because she outright says that they're in a prison about a minute and half or so into the video.

Also, who knew that Andrew Lincoln sounded like that in real life? Jeebus, that totally threw me for a loop.

Speaking of which, how many 8 year old girls do you have trapped in your basement?

I watched I think the first 3 episodes of the show, seemed well made but moved a bit too slow. Has the pace picked up enough, I'm down to get into a new show or two, I've watched pretty much all the episodes of the shows I actually follow.

Yeah, it picks up. Then it slows down again midway through the second season. The last two episodes were great, though. I think the Fark consensus boils down to: "Too much farm".

Season 3 of My LIttle Pony?

fark yes. It's a by the numbers cartoon in the same vein as Looney Tunes and such. That's the secret of its popularity with older men who grew up with Bugs Bunny. It's the animation gags and plots. Great shiat.

browntimmy: Speaking of which, how many 8 year old girls do you have trapped in your basement?

I don't have a basement, and my first floor has an Indian couple living in it. They're about as far from 8 years old as you can get without dying.

The Walking Dead is maybe five good hours of programing tops, but it's cut across 19 episodes and released in tiny batches at far too long intervals.

It occurred to me about halfway through the last season that "Carl turning up somewhere he isn't supposed to be and farking everything up" is to Walking Dead what "Wesley Crusher saves the day" was to Star Trek: TNG.

2012-05-22 06:17:18 AM
Yeah most of season two drug pretty badly. But I still liked the show more than anything else on cable.

2012-05-22 06:32:13 AM
Second season was okay at first, then started to really drag. "Dammit, Rick and Shane are just going to argue back and forth for the rest of the series."

Then, oh.

Apparently not.

Last two episodes redeemed the second season.

Which does nothing to ameliorate the fact that anybody willing to call themselves a "Bronie" is a twisted fark who probably shouldn't be allowed near playgrounds.

I really enjoyed season 1. Season 2 became very tiresome and did not seem to have any focus on moving the plot forward. I'll have to see whether I'll be interested in a season 3 by the time the episodes are shown.

2012-05-22 07:39:46 AM
I like the show. It's fun and entertains me for an hour a week.

I don't get people who waste so much time trying to convince other people why its not good.

It's some sort of insecurity, much the same way political threads digress.

I look foward to season 3 and a spirited, good natured debate.

I take it you've never seen PowerPuff girls? The episode where the villains join up to for the Beetles and the PowerPuff girl's creator makes YokoNono. There wasn't a kid in the target demographic that understood that episode but it was brilliant.

I've watched every minute of every episode and he's totally right. No one wants to see the same woman whining about the same shiat to the same guy for weeks. I feel bad for the person who has to write tv guide episode summaries of this show.

What I am excited about is we're moving into really dark territory. If the producers are going to somewhat stick to the plot of the comic, even loosely, we're going to be in for a wild Season 3. I have no idea how they'd be able to pull off some of the things that happened in the Governor story arc on AMC.

If they can tighten up the story while appropriately tackling the darker content we may see some of the spark from Season 1 come back into the show AND it mught just end up being excellent television.

Episode 4. Lori complains a lot and tells Rick that her and Shane are done. Carl is missing suddenly

Episode 5. Carl is suddenly missing while Lori confides to Shane that she felt safe with him.

Episode 6. Lori is concerned about Shane and tells Rick that he may be dangerous, but before anything can be done Carl vanishes.
