First thing I thought of when reading the headline was "Puttin' on the Litz."

If you're blue and you don't know Wu Shu
Well don't you go punching in fits
Putting on the litz
Different swipes while holding poses,
Pants not tights,
For kickin' noses, all perfect kicks
Putting on the litz

I see Jackie Chan more as Bob Hope.

Why not? He's already done Gene Kelly.

Shanghai Knights - Singin' in the Rain Fight (start at 3:18)

/I have no idea what the inspiration was for him to do this (probably holding an umbrella from earlier and dicking around onset until someone went "hey..."), but it's absolutely brilliant.

Setting aside the premise of the article, did you guys watch that clip of Gene Kelly tap dancing on frakking roller skates? Holy balls, he had talent.

He was smooth on those skates. The way he could just so naturally glide to his mark against the wall or a lamp post was amazing.

The scene with Jackie Chan on skates was pretty cool, especially the crashes at the end.
