Hell of a game. The Spurs turned the ball over on nearly every possession in the fourth quarter. The Clippers only did it once, and it cost them dearly.

Uhhh...I count three Spurs turnovers, one of which was an offensive foul on Danny Green. I also count 8 consecutive offensive possessions with a score, from 82-88 to 100-97.

Tim Duncan, he just motioned as if he had actually beene retired, but NBA officials thought it looked convincing enough, and he's been receiving pension since.

Dammit, I was enjoying the quote series, and was laughing that even a thread about Tim Duncan was the most boring thread on the Sports tab.

Someone needs to photoshop Cthulu emblazoned with a Spurs logo. They can't be stopped or reasoned with. And they will kill everything.

Expand it to the weekend, and all three teams with home games at the Staples Center lost.

Apparently, the last 3 teams to sweep the first 2 rounds lost in the conference finals. I know of the '09 Cavs, who lost to my Magic, and my Magic the follwing year losing to the Celtics. Who's the other team, because I don't feel like looking it up.

Great article on Duncan in last weeks SI. He's been horribly under-appreciated by most 'fans'.

I really enjoyed that article. I've always appreciated Duncan, but like the article said, he tends to disappear off of the court (by his own choice).

Most interesting thing I took from the article: "The Spurs' [.702] winning percentage during the Duncan era [is] the best 15-year run by any NBA team in history." That's an amazing stat. You could have given me 5 guesses which NBA player led his team to the best 15-year run in NBA history, and I doubt I'd have gotten that right. But again, that was the main point of the article.

/Also enjoyed the "Ferry Hunting" part.

Mainly because "Best record over a 15-year span" is not a stat anyone on earth keeps track of.

As a matter of fact, I did. The Spurs put on an offensive clinic down the stretch. Don't be upset because you were talking out of your ass.

No no, those turnovers happened if you just watched them. The basket kept stripping the ball from them. Every time they went up the court, they'd f*ck around for a little while, then the basket would just take it away and the other team had the ball. That's a turnover, is it not?

LOL - the basket got in the way of their "offensive clinic", or some such bullshiat.

You must be kidding. Or trolling. There is almost no sports stat that is not kept track of.
