liquidlen: FYI when you do chest compressions in CPR the tempo should match "Stayin' Alive"'s.

/themoreyouknow.jpg

Another One Bites the Dust
was the other song I was told to match the BPM to. Both are fitting, depending on whether or not you like the person.

Till I finally died
Which started the whole world living
Oh, if I'd only seen, oh yeah
That the joke was on me, oh no
That the joke was on me, ohh

Sad, we try soo hard, then we all realize how true this is.

RIP Robin Gibb

Sylvia_Bandersnatch: leevis: Adam Yauch, Donna Summer, Robin Gibb. Always in threes.

You know what, Will Hunting? Things *do* happen in threes. Or fours, or elevens, or whatever you think they happen in. Because things are *always* happening, and it's only your evolved human proclivity to recognise patterns even if they're not there, along with centuries of superstition-fueled cultural ignorance, that makes you believe what you just said.

I can think of younger days when living for my life
Was everything a man could want to do.
I could never see tomorrow,I was never told about the sorrow.

And how can you mend a broken heart?

2012-05-21 12:35:46 AM
I know your eyes in the morning sun I feel you touch me in the pouring rain And the moment that you wander far from me I wanna feel you in my arms again

And you come to me on a summer breeze Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave And it's me you need to show How deep is your love
How deep is your love, how deep is your love I really mean to learn 'Cause we're living in a world of fools Breaking us down when they all should let us be We belong to you and me

I believe in you You know the door to my very soul You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour You're my savior when I fall
And you may not think, I care for you When you know down inside that I really do And it's me you need to show How deep is your love
How deep is your love, how deep is your love I really mean to learn 'Cause we're living in a world of fools Breaking us down when they all should let us be We belong to you and me

And you come to me on a summer breeze Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave And it's me you need to show How deep is your love
How deep is your love, how deep is your love I really mean to learn 'Cause we're living in a world of fools Breaking us down when they all should let us be We belong to you and me

Yeah! You tell 'em! After all, if anyone knows that Fark is a place that makes light of such things, it's gotta be you... someone who's been here for 8 years and has stuck around through it all even if offended all the time!

Offensive humor is great as long as it's funny. It's a fine line, I admit.

OneNightStand: Back in the '60's the BeeGee's did music that was not disco. It was good. That is what I will remember.

RIP Robin, we old timers remember an earlier, more poignant time.

I've grown more attached to 60s Bee Gees than disco/70s Bee Gees. People seem to forget that they were a really amazing British invasion band before their string of disco hits. clicky.

Yup. My favorite pre-disco Bee Gees songs are Lonely Days and To Love Somebody.

Kinda-sorta CSB: When we were little kids, Older Brother and I called the Bee Gees' song Holiday the "Pee Pee" song, because we thought that the chorus was, "Pee Pee Pee Pee Pee Pee..."

/also thought that Simon & Garfunkel sang "God bless your fleas, Mrs. Robinson"

Ironic posting if you consider the line in the main chorus; "...the winter would hold no spring, couldn't hear a Robin sing...." (yes that's from memory)

Oh - and to the farker who posted the 'Run to Me' linkage... that was one of my first 45s... and I loved the b-side "Road to Alaska" - a unique, almost bluesy tune for them...
