Lots of drinks are bad for your teeth, even something you wouldn't think, like Gatorade, is pretty bad. Link

/Crystal Light anyone?

In related news, most 'fruit juice' you buy in stores is loaded with refined sugar and may not have any actual fruit in it.

OJ is just a convenient scapegoat. The real culprit is kumquat juice.

And a friendly word of advice from someone who learned the hard way: don't stuff citrus wedges in your mouth and suck on them. Especially lemon wedges. Bought my dentist a new car by doing that as a kid.

That's why they call it a "juice drink". About 10 years ago my father bought some of that Cran-apple stuff and told me it was the best thing ever. I pointed out the ingredient list and it was one giant FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU as a reaction.

Nonsense. It takes a lot more than that to hurt The Tooth.

It's already bad enough with all the salts in it. I watched a co-worker nearly stroke out one day. His diet consisted of about 4 gatorades a day. Surprise, surprise.

Don't get me started on the health idiots who think drinking juice is better than cokes and pepsis. They might have ever-so-slightly better nutritional content, but sugar is still sugar.

Actually, all 'fruit juice' has fruit juice in it along with "contains __% __ juice" on the label. It's 'fruit drink' that doesn't have juice in it. That's why juice isn't in the name. At least in Estados Unidos.

This isn't news, my dentist told me this 20 years ago.

Yeah, and sodas with both citric acid and phosphoric acid in addition to all that sugar are even worse. The boffins are right! The soda makers are trying to kill us!
