There was serious damage to historic buildings and churches in the provinces of Modena and Ferrara, and the quake also shook major towns such as Bologna, Rovigo, Verona and Mantua.

The loss of life is tragic, even if it is only 5 people. Those people meant something to somebody, and they are never coming back.

But the loss of historic buildings is a loss to us all.

Okay, while I find loss of life tragic, and loss of historical buildings tragic, which it is entirely, this has to be one of the funniest comments I have ever seen on Fark. Well done.

Ooh, I think the toast is done, the toast is done
top it with a little of my bologna

Never gonna stop, eat it up such a tasty snack

One of them was a 106 year-old woman killed when her farmhouse's roof collapsed on her. I'm sure it's tragic for her family, but she had a good run.

If she had a good run, she would have gotten out in time.
