Will Kobe Bryant shiat the bed and then blame his teammates? Oh, no, wait, that's tomorrow.

I expect the Pacers building to be rocking.

is the NBA suddenly shiatting their pants at the thought of a OKC/Indiana finals? is the fix in?

So is Popovich going to rest his starters tonight, it is a pretty meaningless back to back after all.

Speaking as a lifelong Celtics fan . . . the Eastern playoffs have lost all interest. The Finals should really be between the Spurs and Thunder.

I would settle for killing the playoffs now in return for aan eight-game series where the Heat lose to the Spurs and Thunder four times each. I'd watch that.

/I realize the Heat might win a couple of those games

Let's go Heat!

Day's already gone sh*tty enough for me, what with my car's battery dying as I was picking up pizza for lunch.

/Magic, they're searching for a starting lineup because Bosh was injured in Game 1 of this series. Referencing Round 1 in this is stupid.

2012-05-20 03:27:27 PM
No way Pacers win today. Heat either get a huge game from LeBron (near triple double with like 29 pts), Wade (bounce back game to silence critics), or a big FT diff (10/more; big Pacers in Foul trouble early). If I had to guess likelihoods, I'd say:
1) LeBron
2) Refs
3) Wade
Also, this is probably the game where their 3pt shooters stop crapping the bed and hit for their normal average. If that's the case, it wipes out the Pacers edge in the past two games.

Wade, how about you seal off the defender?

//dammit Spo, you should have Wade off the bench.

Well, Indiana looks like they're going to take care of business.

/offensive goaltend...ACTUALLY CALLED!

Did Indiana move to LA? If not, this game is over.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I remember game 1.

You know what? I don't care if they go in at this point. GET A F*CKING SHOT OFF

Yeah, the Pacers are doomed. Has the team (not named Spurs) that had an early lead EVER won in these playoffs?

No foul trouble in this game though.

/holy lord Battier hit a 3

I'm believing more and more that Wade is not actually friends with LeBron and he got him to go to Miami so he could prevent him from ever getting a title.

I see God has taken his rightful place inside Mario Chalmers again

Heat really need to get Hibbert in foul trouble.

/holy sh*t they've made 3 3's, increasing the series total to 8
//thought Granger's foot was on the line on that one

That would end up being the greatest NBA plot ever (bigger than the Knicks-Ewing conspiracy). Wade wants to retire with more rings than LeBron, Darko, and Melo combined.

2012-05-20 03:50:48 PM
Heat outside arc: 3-3
Heat inside arc: 1-9 (dunk)

Well, this is a reversal

Well, Darko has one, so he can't do that. And you forgot Bosh (the other guy picked ahead of him).

Unless Hibbert gets in foul trouble, I don't see it happening.

That's why it would be funny if the league never gave Wade his. The only bust of the top 5 would be the only one with a title.

They've been having trouble with the outside shots in the last couple games. If they're hitting them, it'll change the game

LeBron is about to go full on Kobe in this game. And I don't mean I'm pissed at my teammates so I'm going to pass all game Kobe.

I think the recurring theme is that if you are a high white draft pick, sure you'll be a bust, but darn if you aren't getting a title (Luke was lower though wasn't he)

5 quarters in Indianapolis for Dwyane Wade...

5 points scored.

But oh yeah, he deserves credit for being the best player on the team.

Non-LeBron members of the Heat have made three field goals this quarter. And he's assisted on all of them.

LeBron is as close to literally their entire offense as it gets. He doesn't have any Gasol or Bynum to help out in wins and blame in losses.

2nd rounder in '03. Which is why I mentioned him rather than Morrison.

I wish Spoelstra would flip out at some point.

2012-05-20 04:07:14 PM
That drive represents one more than the total number of drives the Pacers want to see out of Admunsen.

2012-05-20 04:07:54 PM
Darko did actually have serious promise, but like a lot of rookies in the NBA he was not well taken care of.

The NBA needs to seriously rethink how they deal with players entering the league. The league does not groom them properly for success, either on or off the court, and generally does not do them any favors -- and as a result the league squanders a huge amount of talent. The D-league is seen as a demotive punishment, but it should be, and could be, a great place to turn rookies into lasting, valuable players.

Me too. Preferably on Wade.

You probably can't let them get off like that on pick-and-rolls, Heat. Uncontested layups have a knack for going in.
