Gov Walker just gets stranger and stranger. I really do think he'll steal the recall election, or at least try. he seems to have no sense of remorse or empathy.

It's gonna be pretty interesting to see what happens if he wins.

She called her credit card company, Capital One, and they informed her that her card was flagged. The reason? A $5 donation to "Friends of Scott Walker." Nellis responded "Over my dead body." She then contacted ProPublica, who requested she call Capital One again. Capital One informed her that they flag merchants who put through many illegitimate charges. They then confirmed that they have flagged any "Scott Walker activity," according to Nellis.

That made me smile.

I could see Walker losing the election, then just ignoring the results and refusing to step down. he seems to be that level of insane. And i'm not using the word 'insane' lightly here...I think the guy has a legitimate mental illness. there's something that's just off about the guys behavior.

I don't know but isn't this incredibly illegal? Someone is going to take the fall probably, but this has to raise some red flags with respect for election laws. Then again, I am hoping too much.

How did this guy manage to become governor in the first place instead of landing in the clink?

this is Wisconsin. unless Walker is facing federal charges, it's likely that the GOP run local/state court system will just tank any investigation into his administration and pretend nothing happened.

What's worse his not only will he try to steal it, he'll do so in the most clumsy, obvious fashion possible and he'll get away with it too.

I was hoping walker was gonna get taken down and all, but dude is pretty consistently 5-6 points up in the polls.

Why do so many on fark seem confidant he will lose, I mean, that's not a huge margin, but it's a comfortable lead.

The one draw-back of having the voice of the people lead the nation is that there are points in time when that voice will be screaming nothing but 'DERP!'

The pollers who have been putting those results out started to mix in more conservatives into their sample, and his numbers went from a dead-heat to 5-6 points up. That said, I am fairly certain Walker will keep his seat. If you can still be in a dead-heat after this, you can basically tell your constituents to do whatever you want.

He's at the heart of a federal investigation that has uncovered over a dozen felonies, he's managed to produce negative job growth and place WI dead last in job recovery, and he struck the law protecting women from pay discrimination. But the only thing that is important to half this country is that libs get the shaft, even if you have to cut off your own nose to do it.

WI needs Walker out and a return to sanity, but I think this recall will prove that we simply don't deserve it. Get what you can and get out before he's destroyed everything, I guess.

While we may never know if Scott Walker or anyone directly associated with "Friends of Scott Walker" had anything to do with the reported fraudulent contributions being stolen from credit cards, likely across the country

While we don't know if Scott Walker, or anyone associated with his campaign are responsible and we don't know the extent of this activity, we are going to press on and act as if one instance is evidence of a nationwide scandal... Wow, this dude just took the DERP up to 11..

With Walker looking like he is going to win in June, anyone know when next year's recall election will be held?

Pretty much, this.

He isn't even trying to hide the nasty things he's doing, and flaunting the fact that he's farking us every which way he can. However, none of that matters to a large part of our populace. The two Walker supporters I know both admit that he's done things that hurt them and their family, but both support him because, to quote one of the supporters, "he's really sticking it to the libs." It doesn't matter that he's sticking it to them just as hard, or that their children's futures will be less bright as a result. It's about spite to them. Spite over everything else.

Don't Troll Me Bro!: It's about spite to them. Spite over everything else.

The GOP in a nutshell. There's only one reason you'd turn down federal money for high-speed internet in WI's schools. It's because you hate WI and you hate its schools. Walker's job is to take a wrecking-ball to everything the evil, dirty librulz have built for the last few generations, and turn the state into a Koch Brothers plantation.

And that's the GOP plan on a national level - I've got coworkers that will never vote for a Democrat...despite the fact that all our jobs are likely to be outsourced to india or china within 5 years. the Republicans are very open about their support for corporate offshoring of US jobs, and the Democrats want to keep our jobs here...but hey, the GOP will 'stick it to the libs' so they continue to vote straight ticket Republican.

Sure, this needs to be investigated better, and yes, we are a country where the presumption of innocence is key. I could even believe that Walker 'could' actually be innocent in all of this, but...

That. Is. One. Hell. Of. A. Leap. Of. Faith.

Either he's guilty and shouldn't win, or he's not guilty and shouldn't win because he has a bunch of crooked A-holes working for him. Either way, the man should get recalled.

The phoney jobs-numbers thing is especially offensive. It comes off as so brazen and unforgivingly stupid because "Democrat" is a political affiliation while "Republican" is a religious one. Getting a Republican to listen to reason is like trying to reason your way into getting a theist to give up his belief system. Republicans don't need truth and facts and history, and they don't want them. They want a feel-good belief to crowd around and anything that threatens that belief is the enemy.

It doesn't matter that the Department of Workforce development just came out with the actual numbers, and WI has shed another 6000 jobs in April under Walker's governance. Walker says he made 23,000 jobs, and that's the feel-good belief they all crowd around. "He fixed it!", I counter-protest sign read recently. And every jobs report that comes out with more and more miserable numbers will be valiantly pushed aside in a display of True Faith - a courageous success against those scheming libs who would plant dinosaur bones in the ground to make you think the Earth were more than 6000 years old.

And as the state falls apart, the economy collapses, the talent flees and the jobs go with it, they will blame it on unions.

rjakobi: You'd think we'd kick Wisconsin out of the union after they sent Joe McCarthy to congress.

I read Halberstrams "The Fifties" last year. He showed that towards the end after McCarthy had become discredited he made one final attempt to grab the glory again. He attempted to get the press interested in him by contacting them and telling them he was gonna reverse himself on his anti-communist platform. Unfortunately he was pretty much a joke at that point and they blew him off. His was dead from alcoholism not long after that.
