I just picked him up in my fantasy league. 0.00 ERA, 0.00 ERA, 1.00 Ks/IP. Killer.

Also, his name is Rob Johnson. I guess he's gone from failing with the Bills to striking people out and getting bunt singles with the Mets.

If only everyone chased balls thrown that high.

Oh well, every team loses. The Mets are a fun bunch to watch.

If you are a Mets fan and are not enjoying the baseball that has been played so far, punch yourself in the face.

I literally laughed out loud at the strikeout. Just the way he reacts by walking off the mound + the batter spiking the bat and the announcer laughing - just a good moment. You know Johnson wanted to enjoy the moment but couldnt since they were down 9.

Chris Davis struck out Adrian Gonzalez. Much more impressive.

Not only that, but the Bisons are doing pretty well too! And I can't complain about any move that Alderson has made this year. It's a good time to be a Mets fan. So many homegrown players are doing well and there are more in the system.

Baseball sucks. Always has, always will.

That strikeout was great. :D Good baseball moment there.

Oh, BTW, Toronto, wtf is up with that awful field? This isn't 1982, lose the AstroTurf.

Oh this is your troll threads, amazing the Fark mods ban anyone posting negatively in soccer threads yet you keep trolling.

Soccer fans must have sucked the right dick to get trolls banned.

I'm just happy the phils are shiatting the bed.

As long as by "shiatting the bed" you mean "have won their last 6", then sure. They're still in last but the East is pretty bunched up with everyone at least 2 games over .500.

David Wright has been fun to watch this season, I'm most encouraged by his BB/K ratio.

I think he's the best 3rd baseman in baseball right now.

I'll give him credit, an out is an out... but yeah, I assume because he's not really a pitcher, the hitters were chomping at the bit to pad their stats... and probably pushed too far. They got ahead of themselves thinking they could easily hit anything he threw near the strike zone.

He might need to come in again, Batista hurt himself reaching for a geritol and is out.

That's nothing. Eric Thames will swing at anything.

That's what happens when you play easy part of your schedule, it looks like whoever wins the east will be the NL Rep in the WS since they have beat up other divisions.

I just find it funny the phils are so close to .500 with their payroll, don't they still have the 2nd or 3rd highest payroll in the majors?

They were the last to get rid of the original AstroTurf, they aren't going to get rid of this before Tampa.

Second, but they are a half game behind #1 and 2.5 games ahead of #3.

Well those teams aren't in the same division as the braves so its not as funny, this may be the braves last gasp for a while. Unless liberty media and their cheap asses sell the team they won't resign the one player who is making them so much better this year. I think they are determined to lower salary every year and as your players get better they make more.

What the hell was that guy throwing? It looked like a BP fastball each time...

Pretty much that. Dude was a catcher in AA 10 days ago.

At least the catcher knew where home plate was located.
