You should read up on the use of mummies in medicine. Fascinating stuff. At least, marginally more fascinating than the use of Egyptian mummies as fertilizer, which was the fate of millions of them in the 1800s.

This sort of thing should have ended a couple of hundred years ago, but some people, mostly American fundamentalists and conservatives, have managed to destroy the gains of the Western Enlightenment, and there's no way to win over the Chinese if you're losing your own to ancient superstitutions and modern New Age crapola, right wing or left.
