I'm not a cancer researcher, but wouldn't breathing in tons of dust that wasn't asbestos (and all the other things people blame) still increase the odds of some type of respiratory disease?

Forget the Lime, There was tons of Aebestos in the towers (and probably building 7) and was going to require a billions of dollars in renovations according to new building codes in NY. The EPA should have been well aware that, but was never mentioned.

Wow, weird coincidence then. At least I think it was that form of cancer (it was 9 years ago!)... It was a lung cancer that spread to his gut before they found it. Still sucked, the guy was retired and on his second career, and looking forward to spending time with his future grandkids.

Really? Everyone that breathed in the dust were suppose to register with the government for free monitoring and medical coverage. A co-worker was at ground zero and every year has a full check up. He has some lung problems from the incident.

I just completed a paper on this very topic. Cancer rates in 9/11 first responders are three times the normal rate, but the government refuses to acknowledge that exposure to WTC debris and dust had any hand in causing the cancer. Because of this, they are excluded from compensation or healthcare coverage provided by the first responders health care bill. The government is probably afraid that if they acknowledge the connection between exposure to the dust and cancer, it would set a dangerous precedent nationwide and provide fuel for the environmental lobbyists. Meanwhile, people are suffering and dying and putting themselves and their families into debt because they did their service to the community. It's sick.

It was the NSA satellite energy beams interacting with the residual radiation from the micro-nukes that did the trick.
