The Larouchebags are ALWAYS around Seattle. Unavoidable on Broadway. The Jesus freaks usually hang out around there during the tourist season. Thanks guys, thanks a lot...

They like to accost you down near the Market, too. What I like about this picture, though, is the guy with the handmade sign on the far left.

CSB:

When I was in high school, a friend of mine worked at a book store and got word of an anti-Harry Potter protest from Christian whack jobs. So I gathered some people for a counter-protest.

The Christians never showed up, but we marched all night anyway. Someone made a sign that read "GO BACK TO FRANCE J.K. ROWLING". It was pretty fun, and the kids had a pretty good laugh.

Even the drawing of Harry Potter with a Hitler mustache proved uncontroversial. But I think we got my friend fired. And I took pictures of NOTHING.

I never really noticed, but you're right. Those signs are really professional and get their messages across well.

I don't have a pic of it anymore, but some buddies of mine protested President Ford and George Schultz, who were visiting the Univ-Mich in '89 or abouts (where we were attending school). They spray painted a sheet with huge letters that said across the top: MORE DOPE. across the bottom was: MORE PORN. And one of them had tried to "draw" a big penis and balls, with wings, and what was supposed to be a joint coming out of the pee-hole. There were some hippies out in front of the union protesting when my buddies unfurled that thing. man, it really made a lot of folks mad.

That sign is in my practice space.

I made one that just said "the US govt. is a terrorist organization" one day for an anti-NDAA protest. But the highest form of patriotic one is most definitely my favorite too.

From the start of the banner on top over to the "+" he managed to misspell everything except "I", "in", and "God". Badly. Even considering he's obviously a subliterate cretin, that's still a pretty impressive level of fail.
