Obama wrote his first autobiography, someone (apparently Obama himself) figured it needed a little marketing "something," and added the Kenyan bit to make him sound more interesting to his target market.

During the 2008 Democratic Presidential primaries, someone in the Hilary Clinton campaign read the blurb and started using it as part of the "low" side of her campaign (what - you didn't know that was who started the birther movement?).

Now? It's just funny as hell watching people on the Obama side of things try to explain away the silly things that Obama said and did twenty years ago in order to sell a few more books.

I don't get it, Barack Obama was born in Rachuonyo District on the shores of Lake Victoria just outside Kendu Bay, Kenya Colony, at the time a colony of the British Empire. He was raised in the village of Nyang'oma Kogelo, Siaya District, Nyanza Province. His family are members of the Luo ethnic group. His father was Onyango (later Hussein) Obama (c. 1895-1979) and his mother was Habiba Akumu Nyanjango of Karabondi, Kenya.

However, Barack Obama II was born on August 4, 1961, at Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital (now Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women and Children) in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is the first President to have been born in Hawaii.

This is sad. By now, even my great Aunt knows to check snopes first before forwarding the email.

As someone in the publishing industry mentioned earlier, it is SOP for the author to write their own bio.

That ain't concrete evidence since 0bama's dog could have written it and 0bama never bothered to look at it.

I'm speaking in hypotheticals as it is. But there's a reason the literary agency said he was born in Kenya...and it wasn't corrected for 16 years...RIGHT BEFORE he ran for POTUS.

Yeah people make mistakes. But clearly Obama wanted people to believe he was born in Kenya despite saying completely different every other single time including in his book.

You know, let's make one thing clear.

During the election in 2008, only Barack Obama said he would covertly send forces into Pakistan to go after Osama Bin Laden. The rest of the political world called that "reckless." Clinton, Biden, GWB, GHWB, McCain, Palin, Romney, the whole lot of them. When presented with the opportunity, Obama did not flinch. He did not blink. He brought a measure of justice to for the 3,000 victims of that sociopath where everybody else would have let him live out his days in a suburban cul-de-sac.

So you know what, even if he was born in Kenyan, took an oath of allegiance to the Queen or the Prophet Muhammad or the Prim Minster of Kenya or the cute fuzzy things from Alpha Centauri, I don't care because if given the choice between getting the bastard that masterminded the murder of 3,000 Americans or the the strict following of some archaic rule of the US Constitution.
