(Info Wars)   When Republicans say Barack Obama was born in Kenya, they are called racists. When the AP reported Barack Obama as Kenyan-born in 2004, that's how you sell a story. Kind of like the political version of A Million Little Pieces   (infowars.com) divider line 314

It's sad how conspiracy theorists twist reality to fit their narrative. They do it with the moon landing too.

"I know this is exactly what is expected empirically, but I didn't expect it, therefore reality is irrelevant and what I believe supports my theory."

hey you stupid libs

Seeing that an AP reporter is too professional to submit a story which was not based on confirmed sources

this is clearly the funny part of the article

What on earth is this a followup to? Old birtherism is old. If they couldn't even write new derp in the last 2 1/2 years, then they are REALLY not worth anyone's attention.

I don't get it, Barack Obama was born in Rachuonyo District on the shores of Lake Victoria just outside Kendu Bay, Kenya Colony, at the time a colony of the British Empire. He was raised in the village of Nyang'oma Kogelo, Siaya District, Nyanza Province. His family are members of the Luo ethnic group. His father was Onyango (later Hussein) Obama (c. 1895-1979) and his mother was Habiba Akumu Nyanjango of Karabondi, Kenya.

However, Barack Obama II was born on August 4, 1961, at Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital (now Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women and Children) in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is the first President to have been born in Hawaii.

And also, this doesn't even rise to the level of "not news". It's not even a fully composed thought.

I think we can all accept that a Kenyan newspaper might have accidentally got Obama's country of birth wrong and claimed him as one of their own. But the Associated Press (AP) syndicated it. That is conslusive proof of its veracity - they are too professional to make a mistake.

"In October of 2004, during the ABC Chicago Affiliate's broadcast of the Obama-Keyes debates, Obama openly admitted - he conceded - that he was not a natural born citizen. (C-Span aired the uncut version of the debates, which contained this exchange, in the second half of April, 2005)"

It's just a shame this has been scrubbed from the internet, probably by Google, which is running flak for Obama.

2012-05-18 09:41:20 AM
I'm pretty sure I called subby a racist when he posted a picture of our president with a bone through his nose not when he posted false information about the president's birth place. I simply called subby an idiot when that happened.

2012-05-18 09:41:45 AM
Does the AP still claim he was born in Kenya? No? Then STFU. You would need a nuclear powered hyper-drill to dig up hypocrisy on the left that is equivalent to the massive amount that comes from the right.

2012-05-18 09:41:47 AM
This recent bit is really hilarious - and it's becoming clear where the whole "birther" thing came from.

Obama wrote his first autobiography, someone (apparently Obama himself) figured it needed a little marketing "something," and added the Kenyan bit to make him sound more interesting to his target market.

During the 2008 Democratic Presidential primaries, someone in the Hilary Clinton campaign read the blurb and started using it as part of the "low" side of her campaign (what - you didn't know that was who started the birther movement?).

Now? It's just funny as hell watching people on the Obama side of things try to explain away the silly things that Obama said and did twenty years ago in order to sell a few more books.

2012-05-18 09:41:58 AM
I do wonder if President Obama said this though:

FTA: This report explains the context of the oft cited debate, between Obama and Keyes in the following Fall, in which Keyes faulted Obama for not being a "natural born citizen", and in which Obama, by his quick retort, "So what? I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency"

Oh, come on. Don't tell them. Who knows what other gems we could have the mouth-breathing-through-the-pants-on-your-head brigade believing?

Google hides Ronald PBUH Reagan's heroic, patriotic and downright deific serive in the Signal Corps during WWII. Proof? "Ronald Wilson Reagan WWII Signal Corps" returns no results (try without quotes to find it).

George W Bush's economy was fine - Google invented the crash and meltdown. "George W Bush crash economy" turns up nothing.

Neither Hitler nor Stalin was a right-winger. Searching Google for "Hitler Stalin conservative Tea Party" left me bereft of results.

On the flip side, Google is clearly in the bag for liberals. Searching "liberals are awesome" (in quotes, even!!) returns 9,040 results!!!!!!

Um an Infowars link on a 2009 article based on a 2004 AP error?

2012-05-18 09:42:50 AM
Why is Google running flak for Alex Jones? When I search for "Jones if the Infowars Alex Kenya Obama Keyes mainstream media" WITH the quotes, as intended by the Founders, I get nothing, but when I remove the quotes, a well-known liberal tactic, I get linked right to his so-called "Infowars" website.
