Haruko_Haruhara: yobbery: Hey there! Since it seems we're on about cars...anyone know where the power steering fluid goes in a 99 pontiac grand prix? I've stared under that hood for 45 min. this morning, and it makes me nervous to think I'll stick it in the brake fluid or something. It's not labeled, and the 'net isn't helping me, here.

We got a surprise at our new place... a note from the management that bears have been going through the trash cans and that we need to keep our trash in the garage. I missed the part about bears when we toured this place. BEARS! *shakes head*

I do not want to find this:

This is Opie, a stray that chose us to live with us about a month ago. He came to us dirty and matted, but now he's the Kingpin. His fur is finally starting to grow back and he's just such a handsome blue eyed boy. Too bad he just sucks at jumping.....but we love him anyways :)

Happy Caturday from Opie!!!

Welcome! What a great looking cat! Glad you decided to accept his invitation to be his hooman! :)

I am trying to figure out if Pico has gotten bigger recently. I think he has but I can't quite tell.

Rise,
Stretch.
Human I will fetch.

Sit.
Stare.
Ignore me if you dare.

Dinner.
Time.
Try not to fall out of rhyme.

Whisker,
Wash.
I have accepted the nosh.

Rub.
Leg.
I continue to beg.

Companion,
Sighs.
Once again tries.

Satisfies?

Cat.

Cats expand to fill the space available. Really, ask anyone who has owned one...and yes he looks a bit bigger. Handsome divil....

cyberbenali: Happy Caturday to all!

My sister still hasn't had her baby so I am facing another 3.5 hour drive with Pico tomorrow. *sigh* I detailed my harrowing experience 2 weeks ago, but it was late in the thread so I will recap.

Pico was in his cat carrier but quickly busted out and was running around the car panicking. As I was getting off the highway to deal with him, he managed to put down the back window and was priming to jump out. I put up the window, stopped the car and put him back in the carrier. I got back on the highway (windows locked) and proceeded with my trip. He busted out again and continued with his full-on panic. I had to continue because soon-to-be hubby was waiting for me about 25 mins away and he had a flight to catch. By the time I got there, I was distraught from almost losing my cat and nearly getting rear-ended by an 18-wheeler. However, just before pulling up to the meet-up point, he started to calm down. By the time I dropped the SO at the airport in Montreal, Pico was calmly sleeping on the backseat not making a peep. The drive continued without issue to Ottawa. He eventually perched himself on top of the back bench to look out of the windows.

The drive back from Ottawa was also stressful but I was much more prepared mentally. He took longer to calm down, about 45 mins. But again, by the first stop, he was lounging on the back seat.

On the positive side, he was mostly good at my sister's. He only dumped a tray of seedlings. He is much better behaved when he's alone.

Old pic of culprit, he's humongous now.

Wow! What an adventure! We had a similar kind of thing years ago with our first cat. We decided to take him with us when we went to visit a bachelor friend on a long weekend. It was a 3+ hour drive and Silver was yowling nonstop for about 45 minutes. He suddenly got quiet and just as we heaved sighs of relief the smell hit us. He left us a present on the back deck of the rear seat. A steaming present. I guess he didn't like the litterbox we had on the floor for him. Luckily he didn't escape when we pulled over to get rid of his little present. We don't ever travel without the cat or cats in carriers since this incident.

For Pontiacs, it's usually on the passenger side near the firewall. Next to/under the alternator ... this site has pics and a how-to that may help: http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/GM-Pontiac-Grand-Prix-GTP-Power-Ste ering-Whine/index.html

^^^This link will work if you remove the space from the word "steering", I think.

Here it is all linkified...

Hope this helps

Sherpa18 you must have a very powerful immune system to be able to survive so many Sherpies outbreaks. i wonder if Jorgens Lab has made any headway on that new product....
