TheJoe03: He would be great as a Jason Terry type role player.

I don't know why they don't do it. Every other team with three great players does it - the Spurs brought Ginobili off the bench for years even when he was either their best or second-best player. Harden comes off the bench for the Thunder. You get a huge advantage against the other teams' bench guys. Terry was probably the Mavs' second-best offensive weapon.

Whatever, maybe he gets butthurt about losing "starter" status. No one gives a sh*t how many games you started when they look back at your career, especially if you produce.

Wow, it's almost like ESPN has a blog for every team and advertises the one that gets the most hits.

That's exactly the problem, maybe they trade him in the offseason, they could get some good players for him.

it gets the most hits because the team is crammed down our throats then held in with a ball gag.

Well it seems that it's basically the Thunder or Spurs who get the title this year.

Fark Bruce Bowen. I put him in the same boat as Reggie Evans in that they can be productive players for their teams, but how can anyone who likes basketball root for those two guys?

If the Heat want to win, they need to score more points than the other team.

DamnYankees: TheJoe03: IAmRight: He can live off the one title that was given to him by Stern for his whole career and no one will criticize him.

I think the tide is turning on him to be honest, actual fans have began to notice what a tool he is. The media seems to love him for God knows what reason.

Agreed. At this point, I certainly root against Wade more than Lebron.

Actually, me too. I never really hated Lebron, but I agreed with everyone else that the whole "taking my talents" thing was the biggest dick move I had seen in a long time. I'm sure he wishes he could take it back. Still, aside from that I don't really have problems with the guy, and I'm noticing Wade a lot more--not really liking what I'm seeing.

These Spurs look like they could go 4-4-4. Well, probably not since Popovich will be resting his starters in game 3 for preparation of the next round.

If this team wins the title, they will be one of the greatest teams of all time and no one will even know it.

They are 42-7 since the start of February.

herp derp

god DAMN is that a tired-ass meme. Shockingly, he scored fewer points in quarters where he got his rest (typically goes to the bench for the first few minutes of the 2nd/4th quarters). He was actually worse in the 2nd quarter for that series. And he's performed plenty well in many playoff 4th quarters - for example, Game 1 of this current series.

They will go to 2-0 in lockout seasons.

/Spurs fans go and whisper to owners that they're still paying players too much

and 15 in-a-row.

See, I don't like that reaction by Spo to Wade. Reaching up and scratching your neck like you don't want any? Bench him.

you have pee hands: The Heat are astoundingly bad from 3 this series.

And it's killing them. When they can't hit the 3 ball, their defense can sag back and keep the lanes clogged up so Wade and Lebron can't drive in. If they can't get better with the longball, this series won't improve for them. Luckily for them, Spoelstra is an absolute basketball genius and sh--hahaha, I'm sorry, I couldn't finish that last sentence.

Seriously, though, this series depends on Miller and Chalmers being able to hit a decent percentage from downtown. Even a few of those in the first quarter would have a drastic impact on the rest of the game.

bulldg4life: I sometimes wonder if the 2007 game against the Pistons happened in some alternate reality where its impact cannot be felt in this universe.

It's not like that's the only one - he played well against the Bulls in the 4th quarters in the conference finals, too. It's just a case of "well yeah he succeeded this time but when he fails, I'm all over that! And I'll point out that he choked and always chokes!"

And Shane "0-6" Battier. Miller actually did hit on his in this game. But if Battier can make them then they get decent defense AND some offense and that makes them happy all over.

I think your average fan respects (but not appreciates) Tim Duncan and what he did in his prime as well as the twin tower days with Robinson.

This team everyone completely wrote off after the playoffs last year and just assumed they were old and done. And they've just been laying beatdowns all year. Pretty amazing to see.

2012-05-17 10:37:07 PM
"Reggie Evans with great hustle to take it away"

...Duncan wasn't even going to get that shot off. I don't think the Spurs ever want to see Duncan taking the ball down the court.

/wtf is on Evans' shoulder that he's always wearing a bandage? Surgery scar? That's the only thing that makes sense.

Maybe you were a bad man in a previous life.
