Guys. GUYS. Come on. The two episodes of Enterprise that actually were over the top GOOD were the Terran Empire ones.

I want a Terran Empire series. I want it to reflect all the really crappy societal problems we have, and stick a thumb in their metaphoric eye. None of this namby pamby symbolic metaphore crap. Have alter-Geordy bullwhipped by some suthron drawly alter-Captain "Haow DAAH yew try to be an enjaneer, you gibberish spewing uppity DAWKIE!" POP! Waw! TOBY!

Have some occupyish guys trying to change the planet Stock-on by singing and lying around the capital WallStrailia and have the alterEnterprise guys beam in and bludgeon the crap out of them, with alterWarf ripping the throat out of the leader with his teeth and doing that Klingon roar with blood and throat bits oozing down his face.

Think of the fun you could poke at people and situations. Over the top, all the way. I'd give it about two episodes and the sponsors would go insane, in a bad way.

But it's an old Galaxy Class starship. Way past retirement. Kaylee barely manages to keep it together, Jayne has to be pried out of the Holodeck (set to IN MY BUNK, MAXIMUM) with a latinum hydrospanner (shut up.), and Jeri Ryan is constantly involved in mudroom (formerly recreation deck, before the plumbing went bad) catfights with Inara.

Dammit. I shouldn't read fanfic ;)
