Irregardless: They were just trying to sell books. It's not the principle, it's the money of the thing. No harm - no foul, just plain old capitalism. The real problem was in not changing it once Obama entered the political arena.

The "real problem"? I was unaware that there was any "real problem" here. I see no problem.
Birthers have found another meaningless snippet of "information" that they are determined to somehow make something of. They will, as always, fail. The few who are watching will laugh. No one will care.

No problem.

According to these people, you're supposed to read the book, because a small-circulation publicity booklet by a publishing house is FAR more credible than an official government issued birth certificate.

Agneska: Gato Blanco: Agneska: Listen up, bots! This is what you must say to defend your dear leader: Obama never saw this pamphlet. It was an error by the publisher. Rinse and Repeat.

Yeah, Agneska, I know, right? It's just so stupid seeing Fark so full of people ready to bend over and take it from the so-called messiah. You would think that they would see the reality of the situation.

But yeah, I like you, man. We both know that Obama is in fact a Communazijewish Atheist Lizard Man from the planet Zorgan that impregnated a willing Communist white woman to bring about the Anti-Christ, and he was reborn as Fartbongo Hussein 0bammunist to make fun of the real Christian god and run the United States into the ground while being an empty suit.

Bunch of deluded ingrates, the lot of them.

Oh, I'm sorry, did you say something? Can you please try saying it in Swahili?

I'm sure that sounded funnier in your head. But then everything is kind of funny when it has a wicked echo on it.

Mikey1969: piledhigheranddeeper: Well, because the original text was written in 1991(or at least years before his book). This is all interesting, but not that interesting.

Actually, he started writing the book in(Are you ready for this? Sitting down, at least? Maybe you should take that tea Party penis out of your mouth so you do't bite down in reflexive surprise first...) 1990.

He was contracted to write the book in 1990, it was PUBLISHED in 1995, but it was finished before then.

Just in case you are "challenged", 1990 comes BEFORE 1991.

The book that the dust jacket refers to was never 'PUBLISHED'.

In October of 2004, during the ABC Chicago Affiliate's broadcast of the Obama-Keyes debates, Obama openly admitted - he conceded - that he was not a natural born citizen. (C-Span aired the uncut version of the debates, which contained this exchange, in the second half of April, 2005)

In a follow up report, The Post & Email has published a brief analysis of the Google Newspaper archive, which shows that Obama's story changed after June 27, 2004.

Finally, that the AP did cover this story, reprinted by the East African Standard, can be seen from the citation made to AP stories about it

Mikey1969: Jimmysolson: Vetted? You should watch this, it may change your mind.

Yeah, seen it. The guy has no clue how Adobe products work. I've been using them since about 2000, and I've encountered all of this "proof" naturally. You would have to WORK to create a fake like people are saying, whereas, it would be simple to create a PS or Illustrator document that DIDN'T have all the red flags. Adobe Acrobat can do this when documents are saved(Actually printed) into it. Try again, chuckles.

The document purported to be a digital scan of President Obama's original birth certificate was actually produced through Quark software, not through Adobe software.

I agree. It's not much of a problem at all and there was no malice intended. They were just attempting to market a book (that was never published). It appears they left this marketing blurb on the web until 2007 (somebody provided citation earlier in this thread) and that's just not very smart. But I agree it's not a "real" problem, it's a distraction if even a small one. If Obama wins reelection it will be a welcomed distraction. If Obama loses it will be an unwelcomed distraction.

When it was convenient for Barack to be from Kenya (to play up the black and downplay the white momma), he was from Kenya. He was still identified as being born in Kenya when he was first elected to the senate. Then, when he started running for president, the narrative changed and he was born in Hawaii.

Does it mean that he was born in Kenya? No. Does it mean that the president is the biggest cipher to ever inhabit the Oval Office (including the hiding of school transcripts and records related to his employement), well, the facts speak for themselves.

Even the Breitbart article admits that Obama didn't submit his bio. Also, Obama says he was born in Hawaii in the book he wrote published by the same publisher. So why would he tell the publisher to contradict his own autobiography?

Breitbart can't "admit" something for which they don't have first-hand knowledge. They can only show us the prima facie evidence they found during their vetting mission. Contradictory evidence that is made public after must be presumed to be a hoax until proved otherwise, and that would include any Hawaiian birth certificate or post 1991 claim in a book. As it stands right now, Obama was born in Kenya.

Why should she have fact-checked her own claim? That's not how fact-checking works. If it worked that way, everyone who is caught in a lie could simply claim "I forgot to fact-check that subsequently-shown-to-be incorrect claim I made". We could do away with the perjury laws if that is the case.

No, you "fact-check" the claims of others. Whose claim did she fail to fact-check?

Seriously, you don't use Quark for this. Photoshop 4 and Illustrator 4 would be easier, and cheaper. Quark is $849, BTW. Adobe Creative Suite, including PS, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Pro is only $1300. 4 apps at $325 each, or a single one at $850. With this pricing structure, the odds are that the gov't would have had Adobe from the beginning.

Prima facie evidence still needs to be substantiated, so it doesn't "prove" factuality on its own. What it does do is set the bar extremely high for any subsequent contradictory evidence to impeach it and it proves some things outside the question of where exactly Obama was born, such as that there have been multiple narratives regarding Obama's birth story being used by Obama and his handlers.

And still, you are painfully nonsensical. Why is this particular evidence "prima facie'? Why is it accepted over the two birth certificates, the the Hawaii birth announcement, and the statements by Hawaii officials? And no, there have not been "multiple narratives" about Obama's birth. There's been Obama saying from Day 1 that he was born in Hawaii, and proving it over and over and over again, and there's been assorted birther tards and trolls such as yourself desperately clinging to nonsense you made up because you hate the guy for no reason at all.

How can some 2008 image of a modern-style birth certificate trump the 1991 admission of Kenyan birth when the motive for changing his birth story to one that allows him to run for president is clearly present?

You see, an admission that supports the other side is prima facie evidence, whereas a winking later-made assertion with papers that serves self interest is evidence of bullshiat.

Earlier you said he was born in Hawaii and lied about Kenya to "look cool" or some such shiat, troll. Now you're spinning out and claiming he was telling the truth to the publisher (and yet at the same time lying in his autobiography for some reason). Why would he do that? why would he tell the truth of his deep dark secret to the publishers, allow them to write it up, and then lie in his autobiography?

And let's not forget you were arguing the exact opposite just a few hours ago.

I mean really, you suck. You're a liar and a troll and you have no argument.
