Oh, they'll say it's because he's "principled." He's so principled that he will attach earmarks to a bill to fund pork projects in his district...but he'll vote against the bill they're in. Of course, he attached those earmarks to bills that were assured of passage.

Funny that he'll use the system to make him look good in his district, but won't use the system to get something that's supposedly vital to the survival of our republic.

And he's for Freedom of Speech, but wants states to be able to limit it as they see fit. He claims there's no "right to privacy," since those words don't appear in the Constitution, even as he references the Ninth Amendment ("The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people") and claims that the same document is "replete with references to God," when it actually doesn't have a single such reference.

Typical snake-oil salesman, and they're guzzling that shiat down.

The MN regional convention got hijacked and the state one this weekend will be too, somehow my son is involved with all of this and will do his best to hijack the state convention (and he and his kids are on Medicare). Just don't understand it.

Chemtrails are the white lines of clouds you see in the sky after a jet passes high above. It's water vapor condensing from jet exhaust. The Tinfoil Brigade has long believed that they're part of an evil gubmin' plot to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

What you need to pay attention to is the number of state party delegates they elect. They got the Alaska GOP chair for themselves and will flood the National delegate elections after the presidential elections. They are more strategic than the Tea Party, which is only focused on Congress and the black guy in the White House

I think that example is indicative of a number of things wrong with the entire Republican party... I was thinking more of his long time relationship with some key members of PNAC or perhaps the fact that he is only a member of the Republican party because libertarians don't even get a laughable portion of the vote. It's like shooting fish in a barrel when it comes to reasons not to vote for Ron Paul. In many cases I think some people are Ron Paul supporters because it's "edgy" to them. *shrug*

This and that, but the vast majority want to find, muckrake, and ultimately end what they believe to be an impossibly huge amount of corruption and fraud that causes all inflation and somehow, they're unclear how, is the reason they personally aren't rich. In the process it is assumed this will end the federal reserve system entirely, bringing us back to the days of "wildcat" banks, barter, ecnomic chaos, and (somehow) gold-backed currency that will make them and their 1 or 2 ounces of gold the new paramount super-rich of the glorious Randian utopia.

The fact that the federal reserve DOES get audited on a regular basis is completely lost on them.

I get a huge kick out of this accusation. What inflation? Almost all of my personal debt is non-revolving, and I'd love for some inflation to come along and effectively shrink my debts a bit for me. But it ain't happening.

These people believe that America is on the verge of hyperinflation (monthly inflation of 50%+), caused by the nefarious schemes of the Elders of Zion the Fed.

The U.S. inflation rate in April was 2.3%, which is a point below the historical average.
