Magorn: DROxINxTHExWIND: Salt Lick Steady: DROxINxTHExWIND: Saw this live this morning and me and the anchor both did a double-take at the same time.

What channel was it? I'd love to find the double-took anchor shot.

/even for you sodomites, that's a rare one

CNN. Whichever morning show is on from 7am to 8am. Sometimes the talking heads on "Morning Joe" make me want to hang myself with a necktie, so I turn on CNN to get some morning news. Its mostly fluff but every once in a while a congressman will come on and say something stupid. He tried to clarify it but no dice. Then, he doubled down and said that the reason the gay judge should not be confirmed is that there was no way to trust that he try a case involving a fight between a gay man and a straight man impartially. Then he fell back on DADT and said that the gay judge was unfit because he "lied" on his military application when they asked if he was gay. The congressman also said that taxpayers wasted $1 Million training the judge when he was in the military since he was eventually put out for being gay. He was on a roll.

Except a military application does NOT ask if you are gay or not. Because being gay is not a disqualfier for military service. Homosexual ACTS are a violation of the UCMJ but so is any form of heterosexuality sodomy or even adultery. Has Del Marshall refused to confirm any judge that's every fooled around on his wife while in the military? has he even asked the question? NO? Then his reasoning is basically bullshiat now isn't it?

I heard a rumor that they removed the sodomy clause from the UCMJ. Not sure if that's true or not. But its' funny how the UCMJ has been violated (lol, 'violated') by most everyone who's ever been in the military because of that sodomy clause.

I was 18 years old when I enlisted, and before I shipped off I had to sit with a yeoman and go over my contract and one of the things in it was a DADT notice, including all the "You can't be gay" and "If we catch you, you're out. That includes hand holding." I never considered myself particularly liberal or any kind of gay rights activist at the time, and I think I knew that gayness wasn't allowed, but to sit and hear something so backward and draconian... I was completely shocked. I had to sign that notice and I remember sitting there staring at it, feeling like I had just been punched in the gut. I'm so glad they did away with that shiat. I'm straight. I can't imagine what it must be like for gay kids who want to serve.

FirstNationalBastard: rob.d: Even if it was, or isn't...how exactly is the gov't to know if you are into that?

This needs to fall under the 'can't know, don't care' rule.

The new Republican platform will include a provision to install anal monitors on every man in the US, with frequent anal purity checks to be performed by fine, upstanding Republican men.

Thought that said "motors" at first & got all excited.

A close friend of mine has actually admitted to not like oral sex, giving or receiving. Not only can I not comprehend a man thinking that way, but admitting it is beyond understanding.

Dude this is so sad. Seriously, so sad. I'm not sure I could stay married to a guy who didn't enjoy that. :( Sad.

Corvus: eagles95: She whines about teachers and their salaries.

Yeah those teachers and librarians are the people making everyone poor. I know all sorts of teachers and librarians who are rich... oh wait. No they are actually pretty poor and getting laid of in droves.

I looked once in moving to those "high paid government jobs" in my profession. I would of had to take a 30% pay cut for the same position.

Oklahoma pays amongst the worst for teachers both regionally and nationally. Their minimum pay schedule shows a newly minted teacher makes $31,600 a year, with a yearly pay raise per yer guaranteed. This works out to roughly $19.25 an hour, or $40k if they worked that same amount at the same rate during the summer break. Now, this isn't lavish, at all. But that isn't bad at all considering the time off involved.

Has there been a companion case to Lawrence I haven't heard of? Depending on how it played out, the question of "filming" could constitute either "not privately," or "not commercially." That is, whatever you're referring to, I doubt it was the underlying sex acts which were criminalized as a result of the filming. Rather, it was either the act of filming itself, or distributing or displaying the film.

People think I'm exaggerating when I say the Republicans want to take away your right to purchase and use contraception. I'm not. Their whole judicial philosophy opposes it. It Mittens plans to appoint conservative justices to the Supreme Court, then opposition to the right to contraception is fairly attributed to him too.

The Sodomy clause has not been removed from the UCMJ. It has been changed to the point where it might as well be removed. The scope has been changed to sexual activity outside of an individual monogomous partner. It doesn't have to be your spouse, just a monogomous partner(To account for the lack of same sex marriage).

You all get so mad when people vote and you don't win. You guys spent all last week calling everyone in NC names, but 31 states have voted against gay marriage. That's every state that has ever voted on the issue. You libs don't care that you lost those votes. Right after you lose a vote, you go to court. When you lose in that court, you go to the next level of court if possible. And on and on it goes. You don't care about the vote. You don't care about court rulings that go against you. You don't care about the law or the constitution. All libs care about is the lib agenda and they will lie, cheat, steal, break every law and rule there is to push that agenda thru - against the will of the people that voted against the lib agenda. So that's where we are right now.

So which group is it that isn't for the 10th Amend on this issue? It's libs.
