I already miss the Will Rhymes era here in Durham. Dude's a fun player, great with the fans and solid in the field.

I think its one of the best commercials of all time. Of ALL time.

And one of the definitive portrayals of The Caped Crusader in any medium.

/Certainly better than George Clooney's, anyway.

Three balks in one game? And they're changing the fake-to-third-throw-to-first rule.

Balks for everyone!

Which, in turn, is taken from the end of Batman and Robin, when Jim Carrey is in the insane asylum and they ask him if he knows who batman is, and he says, "I AM the BAT-MAN!."

Basically, that was the best part of that movie.

Hell, I'd say there is a greater chance of him actually thinking he was Batman before the chances of him remembering some random Snickers commercial from 10 years ago. (is it 10 years old?)

I passed-out three times in one day. I had been vomiting for two days and on day three I had a doctor's appointment to see what was wrong. getting dressed for the Doctor, I just woke-up on the floor with my wife holding me up. Then two minutes laterI it happened again. This time the wife said my eyes were wide open the whole time. Then later that day after seeing the doctor, I was home alone and was trying to eat per the doctor's orders. This time I knew what was going to happen, so I tried to squat down on the kitchen floor. I woke-up with a cut on my forehead and my foot literally banging against the cabinets. It is a bizarre feeling. I was only out for about 3-4 seconds each time.

Yeah, I think he was clearly referencing the commercial. Just about everyone I know over the age of 27 or so who watches sports knows that commercial. I imagine an MLB player watches sports.

After the Sixers game was over, I was watching this as it happened. I was actually concerned for this guy. I thought he had a blood clot or something. He must just have a weak stomach.

As for the balk thing. What the heck is going on with this?

I mean, I feel sort of bad for Reid Brignac, he was kind of the "we need a dude in the infield" guy for Tampa for a while, but when you're hitting .150, odds are the call to Tampa isn't coming right away.

Rhymes was fantastic here, it's kind of the downside of having really good players on the AAA team you root for. Once they get good, they're usually gone.

Also, you can have Reid Brignac if you want him, free to a good home.

Homer Nixon: I've never completely passed out but I definitely know the sensation of your blood pressure dropping suddenly after an adrenaline rush. It's happened a few times after getting blood drawn. Really weird feeling.

It's called a "vasovagal syncope".

It's also what makes people faint when something freaks them the hell out, like if you saw someone jump in front of a subway train and you pass out "from fright".

I've had it happened when I got hit really hard in the thigh muscle during a martial arts class (I was kicking upwards, tall guy's heel came down like a hammer onto my thigh). Wasn't serious but hurt like a sonuvabiatch. I started doing the "Owie, owie, owie!" dance, then everything suddenly got grey and whoozy and I slowly sunk to the floor.

There's definitely a role for him at the MLB level. I hope he's back on the field soon, he's kind of fallen into an extended tryout period in Tampa with Longoria on the DL for the foreseeable future.

I don't mind the passing out part, but you really can't take a moment and walk to the dugout afterwards? Enough with getting carted off for arm injuries.

It happened to me in high school football. I got my hand stepped on, and dislocated my finger. I popped it back in, told the coach I was fine, and faceplanted. A minute later, I was fine, but scared shiatless.

Was sitting a good way down the 3rd base line and we heard it. I thought for sure it was broken.

With the current crop of "second basemen" we've been trotting out I think he'd be in Detroit about now. Dude may not hit for power, but at least he can field a routine grounder to get the last out of the inning.

You can have Reid Brignac. Send Tampa three magic beans and a bag of used baseballs. We don't even need game-use ones, just ones that they can use for batting practice and stuff.
