if they used a genuine accent, nobody would be able to understand a word of the dialogue. i don't think the movie is intended to be subtitled.

That's probably why they hired a Scottish actress who gets enough work stateside so speak with a soft enough brogue.

This is the only bad accent they could find in Epcot Center? They're not trying hard enough.

She looks like Bride of Carrot Top. I'm mad at Disney/Pixar for doing that to her. It's too vivid.

Does this mean that we were supposed to care before that the other Disney World "face characters" didn't sound anything like the ones in the movies, either?

So much this.

I love redheads. Hell, I MARRIED a redhead, just so I could have as much freaky redhead sex as my wife would let me have, but THOSE pictures creep me out in a way that makes a boner impossible.

I used to go to LA to Disneyland regularly. Anticorporate tho' I am, I get a kick out of the place. The kids I've talked to there who were hired as actors and actresses are amazingly professional given how young they are. I saw one little actress dressed up as a mermaid and sitting on her shell in freezing rain in February talking to a little girl who was clearly in Little Kid Heaven talking to her favorite princess.

Getting to the point. If the children who visit the place and meet these kids are enchanted, that's what it's about. If your kid's happy, then shaddap.

While that's spiffy, none of the other princess characters I can think of had anything other than 'generic American 'accentless' accent #3582521'. The character was in the look , costume, and general mannerisms and presentations.

Also my phone auto corrected princess to cork fest. Wtf?

It's still a little scary when the Pixar character looks more like a real person.

The woman majored in theatre in college, you pretty much have to use small words around them.
