Is this a new tag?! I don't remember seeing it in the last year in the submission tag menu.

2003-11-05 02:44:35 PM
Thats is until nature burns down the town in a raging wild fire.

2003-11-05 03:52:26 PM
It's not a new tag. And no, it's not in the submission menu. You have to be a l33t w4llh4x0r to gain access to the secret Fark tags.

2003-11-05 04:06:48 PM
I vote to love loving things.

2003-11-05 04:22:09 PM
Vote for Bolinas to be a socially acknowledged nature-loving town because to like to drink the water out of the lakes to like to eat the blueberries to like the bears is not hatred to hotels and motor boats. Dakar. Temporary and way to save life, skunks and foxes (airplanes to go over the ocean) and to make it beautiful.

Did the Governator write this?

local woman known for wearing hats made of tree bark

Finally a women with enough sense to wear a paper bag over her head.

I also vote for vigorous and generous portions of the oral pleasure

Quick1,

Have you taken a good look at the submission menu lately? You'll notice "Silly" has made a comeback, too (see my profile for more info).

Sappy?

2003-11-05 05:01:21 PM
It's news like this that make me happy I stopped dropping acid and never got into the Grateful Dead.

2003-11-05 05:01:33 PM
I for one would love to bend nature over a chair and make it's brown eye blue.

2003-11-05 05:02:15 PM
And my own proposal to vote for forest clear-cutting, wide-ranging construction of parking lots and the importation of toxic waste was not even addressed!

2003-11-05 05:02:16 PM
Someone post a pic of Cartman.

2003-11-05 05:02:48 PM
Sappy = New Hottness?

2003-11-05 05:03:42 PM
Only in Bolinas. Home of the largest acid bust in US history. when Caltrans puts up a road sign pointing to the
town, it gets cut down immediately. Had a job out there
at a house two back from a 200 foot cliff- the owner was
banking on it becoming "beachfront". don't know if it
happened yet but that bluff erodes a little bit each year.
At least you can camp on the beach weekdays...

2003-11-05 05:04:24 PM
$10 says it's in Northern Cali. Bets?

2003-11-05 05:04:54 PM
I'm glad San Francisco liberals find themselves so much more intelligent than the rest of us. Although after seeing the kind of nonsense they vote for, one has to question the validity of their contention.

I might also add that San Francisco County voted 80% against the recall vs. only 45% statewide, and in the previous election Peter Camejo, the Green Party candidate, outpolled Republican Bill Simon, who ended up only 5 points behind Davis. But somehow anyone who is for a position that these people disagree with is "out of the mainstream".

Go figure. These people are as far out there as it gets.

2003-11-05 05:05:06 PM
Another northern California nutcake.

The whole town of Bolinas is a living testament to folks who never got over the sixties or have buned out too many cranial circuits from incessant drug use.

Now go buy your doggie a nice bandana and have nice day ok with me must go now dada spew is pouring.

2003-11-05 05:06:43 PM
This is easily the most retarded piece of incomprehensible Hippy crap I have ever read.
It doesn't even make a lick of sense. The wording is awful, the grammer is reprehensible, and it reeks of tree-hugging "we must love nature and all of her living creatures" saccarine. It makes me want to puke.

This town is in need for a border-wide napalmin'.

2003-11-05 05:07:04 PM
IN = Sappy
OUT = Spiffy

of course, I'm being totally biased. I just hate the word spiffy.

I would've voted yes, by the way. No harm in love.

2003-11-05 05:07:18 PM
Hey Walljasper, I live very close to Arcata, CA in Humboldt County. Arcata makes places like Bolinas seem farking conservative in comparison. Arcata, you see, is stuck in a rip in the space-time continuum so they are permanently stuck in the 60s.

2003-11-05 05:08:09 PM
Say you don't mean that AFROSPATULA! Everyone needs to hug a tree once or twice in their lives!

serious?

2003-11-05 05:09:47 PM
Hey, what happened to the lap dancing referendum???

2003-11-05 05:09:49 PM
Skinink - how do I clean out this coffee I just spewed into my keyboard when I read your post?

- wipes hands on pants and continues

2003-11-05 05:09:50 PM
I am very much for environmental conservation, but this whole "peace-and-love-for-nature" shtick is really nothing more than delusional, hypocritical lunacy. Up here we had "sitters" in some of the older redwood trees to prevent the logging company from cutting them down.

2003-11-05 05:10:43 PM
Walljaspr: by and large you're right- BUT i actually did find normal people living in Bolinas. very much the minority out there but they do exist. The Marin definition
of Normal, however, leaves a lot of room for adjustment...

2003-11-05 05:10:46 PM
Things not present in that California "place":

(1) drug testing
(2) spell-checking
(3) grammar-checking

2003-11-05 05:12:03 PM
Actually, the tag is the 11th oldest tag on Fark. It first appeared on November 5, 1999 in the farkives.

Fark historian.

We need a useful law, like mandatory scotch at 3pm.

2003-11-05 05:12:53 PM
This would be the author of the ordinance:

Evidentally, large doses of 'cid back in the 60's didn't have any effect on this person. She wears chocolte on her face to mask the smell...

2003-11-05 05:12:59 PM
Walljaspr: check out www.arcataeye.com for a taste of
Arcata- check out last week's "Garbage tours of Arcata"-
and the cop log is weekly entertainment...

2003-11-05 05:15:37 PM
I like stuff.

2003-11-05 05:16:20 PM
Would, california just fall in to the ocean and leave us alone

2003-11-05 05:16:27 PM
I love nature.

(/baaaa)

2003-11-05 05:16:57 PM
Thats is, we need to vote this state the hell out. Let them become a country, then we can invade them and plunder all the natrual resources.

This is not San Francisco, but Bolinas. And Bolinas is part of Marin County, not San Francisco County.

2003-11-05 05:17:52 PM
Any idea what the "Dakar" reference is about?

2003-11-05 05:18:37 PM
Not since the Superbowl halftime shows starring "Up with People" morons has the wussy detector register a pinned reading.

PS. what the fark does wtf stand for?

2003-11-05 05:18:53 PM
ok I vote California off the island, grab your tiki tourch and go.

2003-11-05 05:19:20 PM
That is the new "All your base is belong to us"

And what the fark is Dakar?

2003-11-05 05:19:46 PM
datdamonfoo,

No kidding. San Francisco liberal is a state of mind, not a geographical observation. Obviously SF County is only SF City. Still two peas in a pod, Marin and SF City/County.

2003-11-05 05:21:32 PM
If you go North of Bolinas on PCH there's a clothing-
optional lake on the east side of the highway- seen some
good mixed in with the bad and ugly (and hairy)... also
further north towards Olema there's a KILLER fishing
hole- bluegill and some really huge bass out there, and
the most people i've seen fishing at at once is...three

Along with the liberal and the hippy-dippy stuff you see
out there, there's plenty of um, redneckier things
to do as well- just be ready to deal with a hippie in a
hissy-fit mode.

(been out of Marin 5 years now...)

2003-11-05 05:22:49 PM
Bolinas=teh beautiful...:)

2003-11-05 05:23:34 PM
I vote for burning things.

2003-11-05 05:23:40 PM
I guess :\
But Marin is slightly more conservative, I would think. Half the things that went on while I lived in San Francisco would never happen in Novato (where I moved to) or San Rafael.

Let me get this straight. They voted against the recall and the rest of you voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger and THEY are the ones that are 'so far out there'??? :P

2003-11-05 05:26:46 PM

Little girl. Likes her brain.

What's YOUR opinion?

Is to Dakar as of "Dakar Noir"? If to, I'd vote Bolinas against to like to smell good (teddy bear sleep on pillow) tree thing.
