Damn it... my knee jerk answer as I clicked the link was hypotenuse, instead of "square of the" hypotenuse (even though I should have known better!) No A/C for me :(

Terrified Asexual Forcemeat: If A^2 + B^2 = C^2, then what is AC?

Duh. If A^2 + B^2 = C^2, then we simply square root the whole thing and then we find that A + B = C. Now we can move stuff around to get A - C = -B. Then we'll divide the whole thing by - C, and now we've got A = B/C. Now we multiply both sides of the equation by C, and we find that AC = B.

Sometimes I'm so smart I wonder how there are not more statues built in my honor.

It's good for the drones to have an early object lesson that their betters get preferential treatment.

As long as it's actually merit-based I have very little problem with the concept.

If you were really smart, you'd just assume all statues that you like were built in your honor.

what I think is so funny about that movie is that it tends to suggest that men are the only good salespeople. but, talking to modern day salespeople, I have pretty much heard from everyone that women make the best salespeople and are kicking butt on the numbers.

The square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle
Is equal to the sum of the squares of the two adjacent sides.
You'd not tolerate letting your participle dangle,
So please effect the self same respect for your geometric slides.

I live in Southern Ontario and when I was in my last year of High School it was 2000. This was when we the province was having one of its worst heatwaves on record. No joke, I was in the back corner of Math class and it was insanely hot. All I remember is feeling weird and then my head bouncing off the desk. We had one fan on and it was only at the door. I still managed to finish the rest of the period.
