When Microsoft does it, it's evil. When Apple does it, it's patriotism

Apple products were halted in a bunch of countries a while back, too, if I'm not mistaken. It's part of the lawyer-war landscape around tech these days.

Not to let that put a damper on anyone's Hate Apple parade, though.

Most frustrating for HTC is the fact that the company believes it has already implemented a workaround to the patented technology, which details how information from one point in the phone - such as a phone number - can be linked to another aspect of the handset

Oh FFS really?

Not picking on Apple, picking on the patent system.

Apparently Subby is too disconnected from reality to notice that Apple IS beating them in the marketplace, too.

But don't let the facts get in the way of your blind, pre-programmed hatred. Keep on parroting those talking points.

I'm really starting to hate everyone of these companies. It's like a bunch of spoiled rich kids bickering over a few lines of code. "you stole these three lines from me!" "oh yeah well you stole those four lines from me!" sue! sue! sue!. I'm pretty sure that sooner or later every company will owe every other company a percentage of their sales. Maybe that is what they want. To make money on every device sold no matter who makes it.

It's like that episode of RvB where you find out Red and Blue are actually being run by the same organization.

I assume by "beating" you mean "continually losing market share"?

But hey, never let the facts-- ...well heck, you know the rest.

Here's some facts for ya, junior.

Apple and Samsung are up, everybody else is down.

And here's a nice little chart that shows an 88.4% increase in sales year-over-year, when the overall market shrank 1.5%.

HTC market share, not Android, you twit.

My Blackberry let me select phone numbers and auto-call them in 2007, I haven't seen this much entitlement outside of Quebec in a long time.

Unless I'm mistaken the large boost was caused by the release of the 4S. I didn't think Apple had released a new phone in the previous year and saw a large jump because they finally launched a new model.

Sorry, that should have been 2006, not 2007.

Shareholders of those winning companies must be *thrilled* that Apple takes more than half the profits. But feel free to continue cherry-picking facts and pretending your blind hatred is something other than non-factual.

My HTC EVO was supposed to arrive Friday. Nevermind. F*ck you, Apple.

Also, this is only affecting AT&T and Sprint's version of the HTC One X. T-Mobile's phone will be sold without trouble. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that T-Mobile is also the only carrier without the iPhone.

Proving once again how much of a hipster company Apple is. They're, ironically, becoming the bad guys in that "1984" commerical of thiers. Its almost like watching them drink a Pabst Blue Ribbon.
