That said, I see Pac as a boxer and nothing more. I'm not gonna celebrate his life or look up to him as a role model, but I'm not going to pretend that I was doing any of that stuff before.

Given the hold the Catholic church has on Pacquiao's home country, anybody advocating gay marriage there would be seen as a Filistino.

If religion was about love, respect and tolerance instead of fear, control and intolerance it would still be relevant.

That said, I see Pac as a boxer and nothing more. I'm not gonna celebrate his life or look up to him as a role model, but I'm not going to pretend that I was doing any of that stuff before.

Normally I would agree, there's no reason to give a fark what an athlete or.celebrity's opinion is on a topic.

Manny's different though. He's an elected official. His opinions can have consequences.
