Sorry, Ms Henson-Conant, you are now my third favourite electric harpist.

That was actually better with the sound off. Not so distracting, if you know what I mean.

Do they not know how to smile? Yes, I get that unblinkingly staring at the camera makes you mysterious or something, but in this context, it also makes you look like one of those people who buy crystals at the mall.

/and WTF is up with the random Plato quote at the end?

What's with the new-age Irish musician dramatic put-on?

It's like that violinist from Riverdance or another of those godawful acts, robotically thrashing her long blonde hair all about while playing a mournful diatonic melody on the violin. Ever see the horrific wide-eyed smiles of terrified North Korean children plowing through a rote performance at gunpoint? Yeah, it looks like that.

I get musical facial expressions. I'm a musician, and get carried away sometimes; it happens. But let the music move you naturally. Rehearsed fluid movement doesn't make you expressive - it makes you look like an animatronic figure at Disneyland.

In case you're wondering, that was Old Sheldon Church ruins, in Yemassee, SC.

www.sciway.net

It was burnt during the Revolutionary War by the British, which may or may not have been the inspiration for the church-burning scene in "The Patriot". Rebuilt, it was later burned again during the Civil War by Gen. Sherman's men.

She was cute. And by she, I mean only one girl was in the video.

Video editing, effects and production - it can do amazing things. Like make one person appear to be identical twins.

that performance was awkward. not sure what strap-on harp playing is supposed to look like but that wasnt it. sitting in a chair plucking a giant harp and REALLY feeling the music would look more authentic than that fake acting bit.

/now a strap-on harp dildo?

Thank you. I was there some time ago but could not remember the name. The grounds are still used for burials. There is also a tremendous FLWright designed farm nearby.

I'm very, very confused. Subby clearly described the two blondes as "hot". The Fark standard for "hot" in a greenlit post is a single bagger that requires only three beers rather than the usual six, yet these women were attractive. Do we have a new Modmin today?

Yes, that's Auldbrass Plantation, currently owned by Joel Silver. Interesting trivia, he raises zebras there.

Judging by the way those two kept exchanging glances, they've played each others harps...if you know what I mean.

These girls could be used as a prototypical example for someone arguing that White people suck at music. In just observing them I guessed that they came from a Mormon or fundamentalist Christian background.

A little googling shows that they got "harp" music degrees from "Wheaton College a private, evangelical Protestant liberal arts college in Wheaton, Illinois,"

In their person information they list right-wing creds such as they "are Third Degree Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do and are former Tae Kwon Do instructors. The twins are also "Distinguished Experts" in rifle marksmanship."

On occasion they can photograph as quite pretty and don't come across as Barbi robots.
