I should have done this a long time ago.

I should have sued Wal-Mart when they announced a sale on "crackers". I was highly offended at that remark

Hey, they keep Cheese Nips right there on the shelves to offend Asians. And if the Asians haven't sued over that yet, you don't get to sue over plain old crackers.

I wonder how many people would have felt butthurt if the kid had said "would all fat people please leave the store"...

/The store would probably have emptied out
//Very, very slowly

Also, it's hard to take him seriously when this kid's remarks are balanced out by the fact that he has the run of the store while other races are confined to a single combination aisle.

Maybe Walmart intercoms are using Fark filters

zekeburger: The guy must have worked in the one Wal-mart where you can actually hear and understand is being said over the PA. When I worked there, the person making the announcement had to say it twice so that people could understand what was being said, just like at the beginning of Larry Crowne.

This.

And why, with all our technology, can no one make a drive-thru speaker that works well?

You guys are wrong to blame the stupid, lazy black guy for this. You should be blaming his greedy Jewish lawyer.

Was in a WalMart when someone got on the intercom and started blurting out a very sloppy (but still funny) version of 'Surfin Bird' a week or two after it was on Family Guy. Oddly enough, when he started off in a very serious, deep-toned voice with something like, "Wal-Mart customers.... Have you heard?" I immediately thought of Family Guy... then he starts the fastest BirdBirdBiBiBirdBird Bird is the Word! about 3 or 4 times before hanging up.

From the people grinning or laughing, I'd say there were a lot of us "traumatized". A couple of WalMart people running towards the pet food sections added to the fun (must either knew what extension he was on or saw him on camera).

SteveFU: dittybopper: SteveFU: ExperianScaresCthulhu: Mutt Farkinov: Read: "I'm really just hoping they'll offer a settlement."

Pretty much. However, they needed to better secure their intercom system. Were the kids relatives of employees? or just not enough people on the floor to make sure that no one touched the phones except employees?

Already been done. Wal-Mart and Sam's club spent millions upgrading the phone systems. Now you have to know the code to page over the intercom, or use a phone line.

With the sort of turn-over that you get at a typical Wal*Mart, that code will remain secret for approximately a week and a half.

More like a week. Or till someone Googles it.

Nonsense. Our brilliant code is unbreakable.

Well, he's not a pussy for being traumatized by the sights and sounds of Walmart. Those places contain things to make the strongest man's soul cringe in horror.
But he knew that when he walked in the door.
I'm not going to go see an Adam Sandler film and then turn around and sue the theater for insulting my intelligence.

Battie claims he has needed medical care due to the March 2010 comment.

If a "comment" requires you to need medical care you had WAY bigger problems before that.

Somehow I think his little lawsuit is going nowhere. WalMart's flotilla of lawyers will crush him.
