Recoil Therapy: If you knew what the frequency was could you use another one with the phase reversed 180 degrees & just cancel it out? (not sure of the terms but essentially noise cancellation)

/if they're blasting people with sound that's 30+ decibels above the threshold for permanent damage they'd better be ready for a pile of lawsuits

I would rather find a way of reflecting it back, say a nice piece of metal siding, doubling as a sign

I wouldn't go that far. I mean I can still buy the Anarchists Cookbook. The second that is a banned book is when we are officially a police state.

Nope, sorry. You'll just have to deal with someone you might not agree somewhere in a city of 2.5 million people. I think you'll manage.

Come on. I'm not actually gunna punch someone. I just find it annoying that I can't light up a smoke in the loop without some pasty white guy bugging me for a loose square. This is Fark.com. Of course violence isn't the answer. And for the record I, my experience the typical Occupier is alright. Not the folks that I would hang out with, but alright none the same. I may not agree with them on all of their points, but open dialogue is always a good thing. As I stated in my original post, it's the fringe that has hijacked the movement that I have a problem with.

Really? Not to "but I have a black friend" this thread, but I do NOT come from a white-washed community (born and raised in Chicago Heights). I have no problem with anyone on the basis of race of ethnicity.

As far as republicanism and race dynamic, I just don't agree with spending a bunch of money we don't have. It's not a culture thing. And it's the reason I'm not a registered Republican.

I ride the Metra train that goes underneath McCormick Place. After reading Metra's NATO Summit security memo that changes the trains into planes (i.e. no backpacks, no liquids, etc.) I will be working from home on Monday as well.

What I found to be really sh*tty of Metra is that they waited until the 11th to post the security memo instead of much earlier. Of course, the last day to purchase monthly passes is the 10th, so I'm sure money was a contributing factor in their decision to wait.
