Not a movie, but the series of strips from Calvin and Hobbes where Calvin uses a time machine to get out of doing homework was bloody brilliant.

Forgot_my_password_again: Donnie Darko was the most boring piece of crap movie I ever wasted what seemed like forever on. The movie went nowhere and took forever to do it.

Sometimes I doubt your commitment to sparkle motion.

zarberg: LeroyBourne: Time Cop? It has merit, I believe Mia Sara shows us her goods, but overall it was dumb.

Jean-Claude was so perfectly cast, they needed a character to look confused and bewildered about everything going on around him, and who does that better?

Allow me to retort.

I know my nerd cred is about to take a hit but....

Oh, fark you. Back to The Future was better than Time Bandits. Why?

Because in my mind, a good Time Travel story should both punish hubris (The Biff Future) But should also include hope for a brighter future (The end of BTTF3) and remind us why we look towards other times for inspiration.

Im out.

Clicked just to see if it included Primer. In most timelines where it wasn't this post is a little longer and much angrier.

Satisfied to see Time Bandits as #1.

List still needs Army of Darkness and a shout-out to La Jetée.
