Until the dog can do that without her in the room, I'm calling Clever Hans on the whole thing. Notice how her body shifts towards the note.

This is what I thought. It reminds me of the horse that could do arithmetic.

Not sure why, but ~6:33 made me laugh.
/No, I didn't sit through the whole thing, just jumped forward to see if they did anything more complex than single note recognition.

My dog can match the pitch of an emergency siren, much to my displeasure.

At 0:32, the dog goes to hit what's apparently the wrong note and his whole body blinks one note towards the camera. Apparently the video maker couldn't even get their fakery right in one take.

I noticed that too, and then I closed the window.

Not even Clever Hans good. Check out to where he's looking. The dog is picking up cues from an off-camera person.

I was impressed that Dog didn't howl once at any of those high, annoying, screechy, whistle notes.

/they sure hurt my ears

cool, but agreed, need a blind-study style video to accept.

Even if the dog is picking up cues. IT'S A FARKING DOG PICKING UP CUES! Good paw control and he is hitting the notes. My beagle would have sat and stared at me like I was from Neptune. Pretty impressive trick

Cool ...I used to have a dog that would sing along while I played bass.

He would try his best to howl the notes while I played them. If I played slowly enough, he would hit them.

used to amaze my friends. Of course, I have no proof, that was before everything was (also) a video camera.

Is it just me or does something just seem... Off.. In a creepy way here? I was half expecting koolaid to be served.. That dog doesn't look very.. Happy.. Almost alien like. The room they are in is scummy and the wall has a shiat ton of caked on dirt and funk. Also the dog doesn't wag his tail once not even when being fed a treat.

I'm guessing this dog is abused the shiat out of and kept in farked conditions and is a side show carny prop.

This. Thank you.

The video is even more fake than you folks are giving it credit for. The dog is picking up the cues merely to touch the keyboard. Anywhere. Random. The film maker then can see the pitches touched and create the soundtrack afterward.

It's clearly edited.

Ask yourself how many takes were discarded where the dog didn't get it right? You're only seeing the successes to boot confirmation bias.

This is how marketing works. Recognize it. Resist its siren song...
