Came here to mention those guys.
One of my favorite quotes from them :
`
We seek to notify other descendants that additional secrets are disclosed in special weekly worldwide teleconferences. We
created a "Jesus and Mary Gene
Test" that is a unique state of the
art DNA testing method
to help us
locate other descendants by giving
people their Jesus and Mary DNA
test results on-line in 4 minutes.

`
I guess if it's Religion(tm) truth in advertising does not apply.

She says that he put his eye in her head so he could be with her always and see what she saw.

This is what always kills me about religious nuts. If Jesus is so powerful, why did he have to implant his eyeball in her head to see what she saw?

FTL: A 99th generation descendant can by properly repeating the words - Christs, Light and Love, cause an energetic reaction in the pineal gland of other descendants. The pineal gland is called the mind or the Soul in the west and is referred to as one's 3rd eye in the east. The pineal gland is the gateway to the bliss-filled, high frequency electro-magnetic energies of one's permanent Light Body, or Holy Spirit.

The pineal gland you say. And hear I thought it was part of the endocrine system that regulated sleep. Also, how come the soul rots when the body dies, I thought souls were immortal? Was this based on peer reviewed studies, or is this all pre-publication? Anyway, that site looks legit, so I am just going to site it as an authoritative source from now on.

I like how the lamestream media story sides against the teacher, even without any proof that she was wrong. The muslins and atheists in this San Benito classroom may snicker and jeer, but notice how none of them can refute Ms. Magdalene's prophecy?

meat0918: She's nuts. End of story.

At least her claim to be Mary Magdalene should keep the usual suspects from crying "religious discrimination!!!"

How is her religious claims any less reliable or sane than the people going to my local evangelical college? I thought religion was an exemption from the DSM? Her belief sure seems religious. Others have claimed to have dialog with god or jesus. How do I differentiate what they believe from what she believes?

She sounds Republican.

What's also curious is how it's not even open to debate. They just want everyone to dismiss it right away. As if they're afraid she might be right, or know she is and are trying to cover it up. They FEAR her words.

Good troll. Not a great troll, but very good considering you constructed it with only six words.

Popularity is how the DSM gauges delusion vs religion.

Jesus had created another planet that was more beautiful than this one, a Utopia full of waterfalls where everybody was always 25 years old, where money does not exist

Jesus built Riverworld?

That's not a very useful metric. So atheism is delusional, since it's rather unpopular? Should I order up the meds now? Libertarians are delusional? Do we need to strap down Ron Paul and give him a few thousand volts through the temples?

Damn right. This poor woman is being persecuted because of her religious beliefs. She is the professional. She knows more about effective teaching methods than any of us could ever possibly hope to know. We are only making things worse by turning our education system into a popularity contest. This will only hurt the children.

Besides, she has the eye of jesus as well as being betrothed to the son of god. How the hell do you get _more_ qualified then her.

Well, I'm sure some of the religious would love to brand atheists as delusional, but it's rather hard to without netting themselves at the same time. The DSM skirts the whole thing rather well actually.

Libertarians... the more I learn about them, the political philosophy seems to have it's roots in sociopathy, and not strictly delusion.

No teacher should be preaching to their students about religion. But,I don't see a difference with this situation than if she'd been telling more "traditional" stories about Jesus.

It's merely a matter of location and the first few letters of the job title...

I will never forgot my junior year of college when my sociology professor went off on one of the strangest rants I have ever heard. It was a criminology class in the sociology department that I was taking just to fill hours. My professor was in all appearances white, but had claimed Latino heritage b/c she was 1/8 Mexican and married to a Mexican American. Anyways, it was the next class after teacher evaluations (probably without coincidence) when she spent the entire class discussing how the "rich and the middle class" were using their influence and money so that law enforcement could keep the "poor man down" to ensure a cheap working force. "Rich and middle class" eventually became referred to as "bourgeoisie" as the rant went on. The lesson included white board illustrations. All I remember is looking around the class and everyone kind of had this "what the fark is going on" look on their face.

Just to clarify, the rant was not one of "rehabilitation vs. punishment" theory debate, it was literally some sort of conspiracy theory that the better-off empowered the police as tools to give them cheap labor.

So why are people so quick to dismiss any and all people spouting off divine powers/connections in modern times, yet are perfectly willing to accept the handed down, retold, re-translated ramblings from centuries ago? Is mental illness a new thing?

Or to put it another way, if Jesus really did come back, would anyone believe him?
