Gawdzila: Carbs before bed is allowed?? O_o

Mostly protein + less than a cup of rice, yes.

Damn it, still didn't get a hold on this game and it's 2-0. As far as I got is PHX breaking out 1-3-1, falling back 1-2-2 and not I don't know.

Silvara: Frozen_Puck: Whoa, it's late... are you allowed to have something at 10pm? Your trainer will kickbox your ass for that!

It was chicken and rice. That's allowed :)

Exactly what I had for dinner tonight. Had an apple cinnamon rice cake and a banana for a snack tonight. Trying to be good again, started hitting the gym May 1st again. Went 12 days in a row but then pulled a calf muscle. Took 2 nights off, went back tonight to test it out. It felt okay, not 100% yet though.

Kings 6-0 on the road, looking to go 7-0 here... amazing!

Heh. Nice! Sorry about the pulled muscle tho, those can suck and take awhile to hit 100%.

I'm still not sure how the Coyotes got past Nashville in 5 games.

Nashville stunk. And the Coyotes seemingly have Rinne's number.

Frozen_Puck: Are we missing lots of regulars tonight or are people not caring about this series as much as the Devils-Rangers?

No CBC stream doesn't help but managed to find one. What a time for the satellite receiver to die. What did I miss?

2-0 Kings? Game over.

Wheres Semin gonna go? KHL?

I think a Spezza, Turris, Semin line would be deadly
should go to Ottawa

Smith was a wall against the quality of scoring forwards that nashville had available to them. But the quality of scoring forwards that LA has is an order of magnitude better than Nashville (it seems that way, anyway), so Smith is having to work MUCH harder and, inevitably, more goals-against will be scored.

Well it's got til Friday night. I'm gonna do a lite workout tomorrow, nothing Thursday, but Friday night after work I'm going to a charity event from 6pm til Noon on Saturday. 18 hours, and I'll be walking most of that time! Then I'm gonna try to stay awake for Saturday's 1pm game. Haven't stayed awake for 32+ hours in a long time, gonna be a challenge!

The Kings are just moving faster, getting to where they need to be and not doing anything stupid. It's ridiculous.

Frozen_Puck: soopey: Frozen_Puck: soopey: I want the Kings to lose only because of my ingrained distaste for UMass Amherst and all it's products. Quick was a very average goalie for UMass Amherst. He got lit up on a regular basis.

Stats don't look all that bad?

4-10-1 in half a season is awesome
19-12-5 in their best season every to finish.

Obviously 4-10-1 wasn't good. I just thought his SV PCT and GAA weren't terrible, assumed a shiat team was in front of him. I haven't followed the kids whole career or anything, just remembered seeing him play several good games in Reading and am glad to see someone from here to well. The only other Royal I remember seeing in the NHL was Ryan Flynn. He was a beast here, and he ended up on Montreal (which excited me being a Habs fan, but I don't recall him being too spectacular there).

He played on a shiatty team. I feel bad for kids that play at UMass. Coach Toot Cahoon manages to recruit good talent and then squanders it. The teams seem always so out of whack. One year they have beastly D and goaltending and can't score and then 3 years later they score tons of goals but have shiat netminders and undersized D-men. The recruitment strategy out there is a mystery to many.

Side note: Looking at buying houses in Reading. Worth it?

Rinne had an uncharacteristically bad start to that series, and Nashville just never found their game against Phoenix. I expected better. They were a disappoint.

Other than actually taking some sort weapon to your calf, this sounds like the absolute worst thing you can do. Can you just give them money instead?

But, they do have a PP coming up.

Last shift the Yotes gave it their best shot, but no dice. One and done and the Kings take over again.
... They'd better make use of this PP, although not likely the way the Kings PK is looking.

ontariolightning: Wheres Semin gonna go? KHL?

I think there was a very specific mention that he didn't want to go back to the KHL in an article I read elsewhere.

There's an interesting phenomenon with Russian goal-scorers (the Yashin effect) that basically says they're crazy-awesome for 3-5 years, and then they start caring about actually playing only intermittently. It doesn't really apply to defensemen; only to the top-6 forward guys. I'm starting to wonder if we're going to see less long-term deals for russian forwards (to say nothing of a drop in their draft position) given that not only is there the Yashin Effect limiting their long-term value, but they can always bolt to the KHL if they're having a bad day.

Really? Reading, PA? You're from MA, right?

Reading is a shiathole. It's bad, wouldn't recommend living in the city. Crime is a problem and it's the poorest city in the entire U.S. according to a recent poverty study.

There are nice surrounding areas though. I live in Wyomissing, just 2 towns over. Wyomissing has lots of very nice, very expensive homes, but also some that aren't so crazily priced. I am in one of those, far from rich. :-)

It's a good no-call. He made a play on the puck, he didn't haul down the guy and THEN knock it away. It was a good poke check. Risky -- if he'd missed the puck it'd be a penalty, but as long as you're playing the puck it is fine.

PHX is really REALLY trying to force the puck down that right side. They try down the left and take their time getting to the puck. Any time they do get in zone, they stop skating and nobody has anybody to pass to. Coach needs to get pissed at them at intermission.
