Anyone who was a kid in the 80s.

After watching the Avengers, my daughter asked me why Iron Man didn't call War Machine to help. I didn't have a good answer.

I think Natalie Portman was way too pregnant to be in Avengers. At least they mentioned her and didn't just dismiss her like she didn't exist.

That sucked, but for a few exceptions.

During the 80's there was a lot of movies like that *Batteries not included, Gremlins, Goonies, etc., etc, movies that were aimed towards sci-fi/monster...but family friendly.

Short Circuit was actually one of the better ones.

That was the 80s and early 90s when families ate dinner together and watched a VHS tape afterwards before bedtime though.

Obvious answer is obvious.

"Samuel L Jackson is already the black actor. You can only have one per movie."

I just watched Hulk the other day. I kind of forgot about Leader's creation at the end of it. and I wonder where Elizabeth Ross was during Avengers. At least Natalie Portman got a computer screen image!

I haven't seen the Avengers yet, nor the Hulk movie, but I can't think of the Hulk as a true Avengers precursor since afaik it didn't have the SHIELD agent guy in it. Plus the main actor doesn't even carry over...

Because he works for the Department of Defense and they boycotted the Avengers.

Show her this headline and she'll be alright.

But Edward Norton is a great actor. The Hulk is my least favorite Marvel character story wise, but that's the only movie I've like Bruce Banner in.

It doesn't have the shield agent, but it does have RDJ as Stark telling General Ross about the fact that they're putting together a Team.

What about the chick from Robocop 1? Didn't she get killed early in Robocop 2? Also, didn't the main kid from Iron Eagle get killed off too in a sequel?

Austin Powers and Elizabeth Hurley(Vanessa)

One scene at the start of movie 2 as I remember

The Jane Foster part in the Avengers made sense; Loki knew who she was, and if he could find her, he could kill her to get at Thor.. or rape her, as he sort of threatened to do in the prior movie.

You mean Officer Lewis? She makes it to Robocop 3 and gets killed off fairly early in that one. It also didn't have Peter Weller as Robocop/Murphy anymore.

He's active duty military, and the 30ish minutes he'd have been useful for likely happened to far from his location for him to get there in time.

I suspect there will be a mention of this in Ironman 3. If only for Tony Stark to needle his friend with it.

There was a link, Downey was in the post-credits flick of Incredible Hulk.

Agent Colson was cast in the other movies because he was in Iron Man and that made a shiatload of money. I feel like Incredible Hulk got a bad rap because it wasn't the unexpected cultural phenomenon Iron Man became.
It really got tossed by the wayside and forgotten about. I think it's better than the Thor or Captain America movies, and Norton was the best Banner. I'm sure they're working on (another) reboot, but that film was really cool and I wish they had gone forward with sequels or at least Norton in Avengers.

The all time greatest was the Mortal Kombat movie - they flat out murdered half of the cast in the first 30 seconds because no one wanted to do the sequel. Except Christopher Lambert and his inexplicable haircut. It's so terrible it's awesome.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK was a good enough movie that I wished I was more of
a fan of the original comics. I'd mark it as marginally better than THOR, but
nowhere near as good as CAPTAIN AMERICA.

But, even at their worst, the Marvel movies are rocking good fun.

The problem with all the Hulk movies is that Banner is by far a more interesting character than Hulk.

Hulk is essentially indestructible and has unlimited strength. It's kind of hard to build a truly dramatic fight scene around a protagonist who can't be hurt and can't be stopped. There's a really good movie to be made about Banner's inner and outer struggle with the dangerous beast that lives inside him... in fact, you could probably make that movie just by editing the Hulk's scenes out of the last movie... but you can't make a big-budget blockbuster that way when a large fraction of the audience is there to see stuff blow up real good and watch Hulk SMASH. And unless Hulk has a vulnerability (like Thor, for most of his movie), those big fight scenes are inevitably just marking time, plotwise.

No Sauroman from Lord of the Rings? He was the Darth Vader of the movie and he just disappeared. And don't give me any shiat about it being explained in the director's cut. The movie was four hours as it was.

The correct answer is "Because I'm farking Tony Stark and I don't need 'help'! I'm the man!". *nerdy hand waving*

Linda Fiorentino NOT being in MIB 2 was a serious suck factor. Her character was great. That said, I've heard she is difficult to work with* so maybe that's why she didn't get a second go.

* also that she beefs in the shower and heels it down the drain

I did think that was a horrible way to nix Shue, but then again, Karate Kid 2 was a black hole of failure and I'm glad she had nothing to do with it.
