What North Korean porn may look like

2012-05-14 12:50:30 PM
'We saw a security detail, a convoy and we saw bin Laden exit the vehicle. Clearly. And we had-- the optics were spot on. It was beaming back to us, CIA headquarters.

'We immediately alerted the White House. And the Clinton administration's response was, "Well, it will take several hours for the TLAMs, the cruise missiles launched from submarines, to reach that objective. So you need to tell us where bin Laden will be five or six hours from now." The frustration was enormous.'

Imagine what they would do for an unrestricted connection to the internet.

North Korea has cocaine?

What a steaming pile of propaganda.

Although, i don't doubt the bit about some North Koreans being obsessed with porn, but saying they "ALL" are is silly.

They all want what they can't have. Give them open internet and our porn chip is no longer in play.

Am I the only one who thinks this guy's story is kind of fishy? I have a hard time believing the CIA would allow an agent to use his untrained wife in the performance of his duties.

There's lots of things they don't have. I'd bet more are obsessed with having a nice dinner than they are with porn. But that doesn't quite belittle them as well.

Good thing Bush finally got bin Laden, isn't it?

Guys in general love porn. Stick them in a closed society with little to no access to it and of course they will go a little bonkers the first time they get to see any. Sort of like a teenager and sex.

By and by, could we get fewer Daily Fail and more stories from reputable sites in the future? Thanks.

I don;t understand what he was trying to convey with that conversation. A slight against the Clinton admin BUT what can anyone really do? I mean if they can;t hit it on the spot they can;t hit it. OBL was going into a car obnviopusly going somewhere...not sleeping in tent. What's there to talk about?

It wasn;t like they had Predator drones or other asset with Hellfires flying around back in the 1990's that can strike within seconds or minutes....

the bigger question is did they try to tail OBL and see where he was 5 or 6 hours later? maybe he'll be in some place where he'll be there a good few hours. Dude has to sleep somewhere.

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

People in North Korea are allowed to have wives and produce children. They are not denied sex. But there is a long list of things they are denied.

There were times in my teens I would have stabbed a baby seal for a Sears add with a bra sale. I would have nuked an orphange for a couple of Hustlers, so I can relate to these North Koreans.

Slightly OT: I despise the little war mongering turd with the intensity of a thousand suns, but Benjamin "Tatsuma has a picture of me taped to his fleshlight" Netanyahu does have the best idea for dealing with the Middle East; Just setup a series of gigantic transponders on some aircraft carriers and broadcast hardcore porn into the area 24/7.

I used to work at bookstore all thru HS and college. Looked thru my share of Hustlers. About 7 years ago or so, a bandmate had a copy around the practice room. I think 75% of the pics were chicks urinating. WTF was up with that??

Not so cool story, bro.

Not surprised with the BestKoreans and Afghans geeked over porn.

We know BestKorea DearLeader had a huge film library and loved Hennesy....and the 9/11 terrorists had been hanging around strip clubs before they committed their terror acts.

Not surprised

I suppose, but it's not just that. The whole story doesn't sit right with me for some reason, and I can't quite put my finger on it. I don't dispute the major points of the story, but if I was in the position to take out bin Laden I don't think I would be talking to the media about it, especially the mail. And I sure as shiat wouldn't share pictures of me and my family with them knowing that they would be posted with the article.

But, people have done dumber things.

Everyone complaining about Clinton not taking out Osama seems to forget that nobody was calling for him to be killed, there was no real evidence until Bush took office of his involvement in the bombing of the USS Cole or the Embassy, and not to mention every time he lobbed missiles into Iraq or Afghanistan the Republicans complained of "wag the dog" not congratulating him on fighting terrorism without risking American lives. Meanwhile Bush never read the report about Osama's intentions to strike with hijacked airplanes in America and defunded the unit searching for Osama. This to me looks like Republican tricks to bash Democrats with an election coming up, painting them as soft on terror. Meanwhile the Bush administration allowed 9/11 to happen and half the country still worships his fascist administration.

I would imagine the Clinton Administration would have loved to ice him immediatley too, but the predator wasn't armed, no one was close in theater, and your fastest weapon was the TLAM. You weren't denied permission to kill him, you ran into a capability problem. Its not like you can just launch and hope for the best. If you launch and miss then you give up the fact you have his location and he is going to try like hell and highwater to go to ground again.

I was under the impression that the CIA and bin Laden were still pretty chummy under Clinton. Looks to be controversial, as in the rest of the world believes that we were still involved, and the United States Gov denies it:

read the next line in the article

"Crumpton said he wanted to kill the terrorist there and then, but was denied permission."

Unless he is talking about another situation where he had bin laden scoped through a laser designator with a plane circling ready to drop, then he wasn't "Denied" anything.

"Hey boss, can I shoot this guy?"
"well, the missile will take 6 hours to program and then arrive, is he still going to be there?"
"umm....I am not sure. Probably not"
"so when the missile gets there we would be killing any civilians in the area, and alerting the target, but most likely we would miss"
"basically. But I REALLY want to shoot the guy"
"No."

Sounds like a bs article.

Anybody who retires from the CIA or any covert organization can walk out, and spout out nonsense about what they did because their former employer will neither confirm or deny what was said.

This guy knows it, and knows he can score some cash spinning tales.
