The short of it is an old promoter called Verne Gagne: Link

At the end of the day, the guy promoted himself to the top and put the belt on his older relatives. Basically it is what we expect HHH to do since he married his way to the top. That's why if you see a picture of HHH wearing all the belts it fits. I'm not doing it as good of justice so wait for the longer explanation from someone else. I wanted to get you kind of a quick background of the story

A good list of recurring memes usually shows up early the thread in checklist form. I don't have it myself or I'd go ahead and post it.

As far as Gagne goes, like TheManofPA said, it's a reference to Verne Gagne, a wrestler and promotion owner from a few decades ago. Gagne was notorious for pushing mostly himself and his family/friends in the AWA, and despite his age, he booked himself as the promotion's main attraction and had many heavyweight title reigns, often at the expense of many younger, more capable wrestlers of the day. Honestly, he wasn't all that different from other wrestlers-turned-bookers (see also Ole Anderson and to a somewhat lesser extent, Bill Watts with his son Erik), but someone added the "It's all about the Gagne" line to that particular image of Gagne with one of his championships, and the rest is fWc history.

Mainly it is because like you said, most of us here respect Cena for the work he does in and out of the ring; we just hate the SuperCena character. Something real if he just talks to the crowd, apologizes because his head isn't there, I could see the crowd getting behind him

Lets see if tonights raw is interesting enough to prevent me from playing final fantasy 7. Last week mid way through I was so bored I started playing and barely watched the second half of the show, only turning it off long enough to watch heyman on the mic.

Vince, Ball is in your court! I want to see some punk and bryan. Doing good promos. I want to see a raw that does not feature the funkasaurus.

Chances are i'm wrong on both of those wishes... but I can dream.

there's the Fast delivery, there's a normal speaking voice delivery and the Val Venis delivery...

I would suppose it all depends on where in Final Fantasy VII you are. The trek from Midgar to Rocket Town is pretty lame and full of grindy sadness.

Just finished the early cut scenes where sephiroth figures out where he came from. I'm only playing it when I'm at the hotel (travel for work) 3 nights a week, and thats if I have nothing else to do. That being said, I'm absolutely not opposed to grinding levels if I get a 10 minute funkasaurus party on raw.
