Too bad Angel already did this, because an episode with the Doctor as a puppet would be really cool.

I forgot about that, thanks.

LarryDan43: Amy Pond real doll?

Could push me into buying one. Love the accent tho', and that would be missing.

I really didn't care for Angel as a series, but that was one awesome episode. I do not let my offspring watch Barney for this reason.

/Doom was right. Barney will get you
//I don't love you, you purple bastard.

Spike was such an amazing dick in that episode. It was glorious. I wouldn't mind seeing a Doctor Who ep in the same vein.

"What are you all looking at?"
"They're lookin' at the wee little puppet man."

/Whenever I try to quote that scene, Spike's accent comes out Scottish, but it's just so much more fun

Angel: Wes, put the Special Ops team on Red Alert!
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce: Red Alert?
Angel: I want helicopters and tear gas!
Gunn: Angel, we...
Angel: This is WAR!
Lorne the Host: Angel, baby, muppet, pumpkin, um... this show is number one in it's time slot. Tykes love it all across the southland. We can't just toss a Jihad at their studio.
Angel: Ohh, right.

That episode was so full of win.

I'm sure Moffett would find a way to make it even creepier than the Weeping Angels if they did a Puppet Who episode.

You haven't seen the one with the ventriloquist's dummies, have you?

I think I have, but I don't recall it offhand...but I haven't seen seasons 5 and 6 as much as the rest.

What is the title of the aforementioned Angel episode? I didn't see many episodes of that series, and that was one of them. Which season?

Smile Time from the fifth season. Mid to late, if memory serves.

It's available on Amazon Prime.

And this will mark the first time I've watched an episode of Angel.

The two that follow, A Hole in the World and Shells, are also quite good and introduce a new character that I wish we'd had a chance to see more of if they had made more seasons of Angel.

I think Smile Time was a strategically placed comic relief, giving a little cushion before ripping your heart out in the next 2 episodes.
