Nofun McKilljoy: i guess its to fit weekend tv scheduling?

absolutely. there was a series 2-3 years ago (lakers, im pretty sure) where the games were like, game 1 on Friday, game 2 on sunday, then game three on Thursday and then game 4 on saturday.

kind of recall phil jackson saying the schedule was BS, having to wait 4 days between games.

So does "Breakfast at The Forum" - It's too damn early to play basketball.

It's not Randolph's fault that Paul's face is about shoulder hight.

2012-05-13 02:01:20 PM
LOL @ Paul acting like that shouldn't be a foul to repeatedly slap a guy's arms and head from behind. Go away, Flop/Whine City.

2012-05-13 02:09:55 PM
man, it took a while for JVG to go on a flopping rant.

2012-05-13 02:12:16 PM
Flopping AFTER the buzzer. That's commitment, Chris Paul. You piece of sh*t.

It IS bullshiat. Best of 5 first round when they would actually have games tip off at the same time was far better. Yeah, you might miss a game or two, but I guarantee no one is watching every damn first round game anyway and it didn't last a goddamn month.

Chris Paul is playing like doo doo sauce.

There is a lot of wrestling--almost MMA--going on.

I liked the graphic about how the Clippers are 0-2 and the Grizzlies are 0-1 in Game 7s.

Luckily for each of them, they're playing each other, otherwise they'd have no chance at getting a win in a Game 7.

Goddamnit, Hollins! Never put Haddadi anywhere near a basketball court. What a plug.

I like how everyone gets away with hitting everyone except the Middle Eastern guy.

Rudy Gay, no one on your team wants you shooting off-balance, well-defended baseline jumpers. Give it to Gasol.

/also, bring in Z-Bo. Stop giving up rebounds.

2012-05-13 03:26:44 PM
Ok. Here. I'm pulling for the Clippers. Seems like the ABC team is painting a picture of Memphis as cheap shot artists. Liked Clippers before this though.

2012-05-13 03:28:03 PM
Well this game is over, way to shiat the bed, Memphis.

Yeah, no team has ever overcome a 6-point deficit with two and a half minutes left.

2012-05-13 03:30:34 PM
Okay, now it's over.

2012-05-13 03:30:36 PM
Damn, thought they had a chance with a bucket on that possession, but they completely screwed that up.

2012-05-13 03:31:21 PM
Ugh, heartbreak x2 for the grizz.

2012-05-13 03:32:02 PM
that'll do it...

Yup, they're doing a great job on defense, just can't put the f*cking ball in the hoop.

IAmRight: Yeah, no team has ever overcome a 6-point deficit with two and a half minutes left.

Actually it was 8 points when I posted and LA had the ball.

2012-05-13 03:33:04 PM
Oh well, at least both LA teams will go away next round.

So it was 8 points and 3 minutes. Still a ridiculous thing to say, though the way Memphis can't score, it made more sense.

/should be a 1-2 point game by now if they could hit from inside five feet
//get someone who can hit a 3, dammit

enjoy it while it lasts, Clipper fans...

Refs calling it on the Clips now so the Clips "fans" can point and cry about another ref "unfairly treating" their team.

Good God, I have to root for the Spurs in a series. Ugh.

No, it was 8 points with 2:26 left.

Interesting, since Memphis was at the line at that point.

/what a stupid f*cking argument - an 8 point lead doesn't mean anything with that much time left, either

2012-05-13 03:53:26 PM
Heh. If Indiana keeps working the inside-outside game and steals on in Miami, expect Dwyane Wade to make approximately 275 trips to the foul line this series.

Maybe if Indiana's defense weren't "hold onto/shove anyone with the ball'...

Miami taking too many crappy outside shots, need to work on getting to the rim

Did Chris Bosh actually just kiss his twig-like bicep?

Hell, the way Memphis ended up shooting, a 2-point lead would've worked.

Pop quiz Memphis: your team plays in game 7, at home, is down by 6 with a minute to go, what do you do?
Here's a hint: being mute and staring at the jumbotron is not it.
You people are probably the worst sports fans I have seen in my life. Why do you even go to the game?
And what's with the announcer? No spirit whatsoever. Complete silence.
Glad you're out.

2012-05-13 03:59:28 PM
Ummmmm yeah you can't let Hibbert just get the ball with no one around him, two feet from the rim. Might want to try covering that area.

2012-05-13 04:00:35 PM
Did the Heat ever bother shooting jumpers in all that time off? Their shots look AWFUL.

I've heard that playoff basketball can be more physical than the regular season fare.

That can be true, at least based on the last game.

Although Paul and Griffin's over-exaggerations were starting to wear on my nerves.

And I'm a soccer fan, fer chrissakes.

Tough, physical pests, knew that from last year against Chicago.

That was the big reason I wanted them to lose. Also, their fans acting like it doesn't happen or picking out the one call in a game that goes against them. I root for the Heat, but yeah, I'll admit when they're flopping.

/Joel Anthony looking competent at offense!

I love watching Chris Paul play, but the dude came off as a raging douchebag these last couple games.

I know, I'm just saying anyone who thought these guys would be weak haven't paid attention.
