FFC looking for its best premier league finish ever, without Clint Dempsey. Too bad.

For top and bottom City need to match Utd to win the title and Bolton need to win and QPR loose to City to avoid relegation. If QPR get anything out of the City game Bolton are gone.

We are Manchester United. We do not buy championships, we acquire the best players through shaddy transfers

2012-05-13 08:10:15 AM
I'm torn on the City QPR game. I don't want city to get a title, but I really want QPR to go down and Bolton to stay safe.

Also, I haven't been really paying attention to the threads the last few weeks. Is there an update on the predictions league for next year?

2012-05-13 08:16:25 AM
3. Any other football?

CL Final - Bayern at home
Championship play-off - Huddersfield

EURO 2012 -
Group A - Greece, Czech Rep
Group B - Netherlands, Germany
Group C - Spain, ...Italy.
Group D - England, ... Sweden (why not. France has the talent but can't hold their shiat together)

Let's leave it at that.

2012-05-13 08:19:18 AM
Predictions:

Chelsea v Blackburn - 1-1
Everton v Newcastle - 0-1
Man City v QPR - 1-1
Norwich v Aston Villa - 2-1
Stoke v Bolton - 1-1
Sunderland v Man Utd - 1-3
Swansea v Liverpool - 2-1
Tottenham v Fulham - 1-1
West Brom v Arsenal - 1-1

So - I am predicting MCFC to balls it up at the last minute and give Ferguson his last, and greatest championship. NUFC to sneak into the CL. Bolton down.

Today, I am a proud FULLHAM and EVERTON supporter.

/because I can't count on us gooners actually getting the job done, what with our recent cup final mentality.

Player- Clint Dempsey1
Team- United2
Manager Paul Lambert/Brendan Rodgers
Transfer Papisse Cisse
Underrated Grant Holt
Overacheivers Newcastle
Underachievers Manchester City3
Biggest Flop Luis Suarez. Pick your favorite.

1. Homer Alert
2. Subject to change if Chelsea beat Bayern Munich
3. Even if they win the title. Have you seen that team? They're twice as talented as anyone else. They shouldn't lose ever.

midpoint: The Fark Fitba Prediction League 2012-13

Have you guys made any progress on this in recent weeks. I've been sleeping.

2012-05-13 08:33:13 AM

midpoint: 2. Season Awards 2011-2012

Best player: Very hard buy RvP had carried a very poor Arsenel on his back.
Best team: Has to be City, just. On their day they are just a little bit better than Utd and others
Best manager: Pardew, Moyes, Lambert or Rodgers. All have made good teams on little or no money. Have to go with Moyes (just)
Best transfer: Demba Ba. Hands down the best singing all season.
Best game: Mmm i would have to go with Arsenel vs Norwich. 3-3. Yeh i'm biased.
Most under-rated player: Grant Holt. Got on with being the second best English striker.
Overachievers: Newcastle. As much as i think the geordies are a bunch of deluded muppets Pardew has doen a fantastic job.
Underachievers: I have to say City. All that money and that lead and they are still waiting to the last game to win the title. Mentions go to Liverpool and Villa.
Biggest flop: Liverpool. All the talk at the start of the season was of a new look expensive title chasing side. One thrid rate cup doesn't match that.

2012-05-13 08:36:35 AM
Also, I don't like it that there's no promotion drama. We know Reading, Southampton, and West Ham are coming up.

2012-05-13 08:36:44 AM

Norfolking Chance: and Villa.

Oh my yes. What a disgrace. Randy Lerner apparently hates winning.

2012-05-13 08:43:06 AM
Okay Arsenal, I want you to listen to me. I want you to think back and remember how low the Gunners sank last year. The embarrassing losses and the struggles.

Now I want you to remember how that turned around with a little luck. The kind of luck that comes from outworking and outhustling and outWANTING the game. Today is win or hope. Win your game and take your top three finish, Champions League spot, all the money that represents, and your best chance to sign the players you want to make a championship run.

It's yours if you win today. You can't count on others to fail. Last week you were given a golden ticket when you didn't win and the two teams below you both tripped. It's used; it's gone. Take this game today. Win.

Best team - Newcastle
Best manager - Alan Pardew
Best transfer - Papiss Demba Cisse
Best game Chelsea 3 - 5 Arsenal
Most under-rated player - Victor Moses
Overachievers Swansea CIty
Underachievers- Liverpool
Biggest flop - Stewart Downing

3. Any other football?

CL Final Chelsea 2- 3 Bayern Munchen
Championship play-off West Ham 3 - 2 Blackpool

I'm not even going to try to make predictions for today. I've been dead wrong more than right.

Best player - RvP - quite often dragging his whole team with him.
Best team - as a unit, rather than 11 individuals - Norwich
Best manager - Pardew
Best transfer - Cisse
Best game - any of these: Link for NUFC, the deliberate 3-0 dismantling of MUFC.
Most under-rated player - Dempsey [in the UK anyhow]
Overachievers - Swansea
Underachievers - Liverpool - or Aston Villa
Biggest flop - N'Zogbia

City/QPR: -770/+1800/draw +770

WBA/Arsenal: +420/-157/draw +290
Sund/ManU: +620/-239/draw +340

No. there were a couple of them. ok, I'll take the lead:

IF YOU WANT TO TAKE PART IN THE FARK EPL PREDICTIONS LEAGUE 2012-13 GIVE ME YOUR EMAIL OR TELL ME IF IT'S IN YOUR PROFILE. IF YOU WANT RUN THE LEAGUE SO I DON'T HAVE TO, MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN. IF YOU REMEMBER THE LINK TO A SUITABLE LEAGUE, TELL ME. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PERTINENT COMMENT SHARE IT.

We'll try and work on this today, during the CL final, and during the summer internationals.

Okay Arsenal, I want you to listen to me. I want you to think back and remember how low the Gunners sank last year. The embarrassing losses and the struggles.

This has nothing to do with my point, I just want you to remember them.

Having said that, you're playing West Brom today. You should win easily. However, a draw gives Newcastle a fighting chance at a top-4 finish, and a loss puts them firmly in control.

So, for the sake of your fans, and for my own personal entertainment, come out like I know the Gunners are capable of, and underachieve. You had an excellent chance last week, and you gagged. Come through for me one final time.

2012-05-13 09:09:14 AM
Best player - RVP
Best team - Manchester City
Best manager - Alan Pardew
Best transfer - Cisse or Jelavic
Best game - Liverpool - Spurs. The match itself was boring, but it gave us ANFIELD CAT, so is therefore better than any other match.
Most under-rated player - I dunno, I think de Gea got a lot of shiat thrown at him early on but has gotten better and will only improve (but I have a soft spot for keepers)
Overachievers - Chelsea in the CL
Underachievers - Liverpool. What the hell, guys?
Biggest flop - for the money paid, Stewart "Crossbar" Downing

This is the greatest final day I have even been able to witness since I started watching the EPL back in 2001. Glad to be here.

It's been fun and crazy this year, Farkers.

You know what we need to do? We need to have a get-together one of these matchdays. Maybe next year's season finale, we all meet in New York or LA or something.

2. Season Awards 2011-2012

Best player: Robin van Persie. I can't think of any player that performed as well or meant more to his team

Best team: Manchester City. They're loaded at every position; it's like playing an all-star team. When I think about teams that performed really well as a functional unit, though, I'd go with Norwich City:

Best manager: Hard to argue against Pardew

Best transfer: Cisse

Best game: no idea. There have been some incredible games. My personal favorite was beating Tottenham, but I'm biased

Most under-rated player: Tough one. I remember being really surprised by Ali Al-Habsi as a keeper, but his stats don't make him look as good as I believe he is

Overachievers: Newcastle

Underachievers: Chelsea

Biggest flop: Liverpool. I don't think it's entirely their fault, either. I see talent, but I think that there are two things at play: 1) awful, unbelievably bad luck, which is compounded by 2) some bad decisionmaking by Dalglish. Not horrible decisionmaking, just not great, and the bad luck magnified it.

2012-05-13 09:33:05 AM

ScouserDuck: Who am I kidding. We're all watching city.

I'm only watching City because Ian Darke and McManaman are on the call. I don't know what match Martin Tyler and Alan Smith are calling.

2012-05-13 09:33:11 AM
And adding my voice to this: however today plays out (some of us will be elated, others heartbroken), this has been the most exciting, exasperating, entertaining season I've seen in a while. It's been an honor and great fun to talk with you guys every week in threads, even if we're talking a bit of shiat to each other from time to time. I may dislike or even hate your team, but I respect all you guys. Thanks for being here every week.

What are the odds of EPL pulling a Brunei (I think it was Brunei) in setting up a game where UTD make up the goal differance in a travesty of a match....in fact, where is Webb today?
