Sounds like a commercial for GIMP.

I prefer paint.net, but GIMP is pretty good, too.

We already had another thread on this which was somehow manufactured into a dig at Microsoft. This has been Adobe's MO for a very long time and it's certainly not the first time they have applied this products. You are simply going to have to accept the fact that if you want to use an Adobe product, you will be forced to upgrade it every couple years.

The only thing I find bizarre is that there are basically zero freeware alternatives to Acrobat Pro. PDF Converter and PDF Fusion are cheaper than Acrobat Pro, but the only freeware PDF editors that seem to exist are the extremely basic "Print-to-PDF" sort of virtual printers. That is basically useless functionality now that many suites like MS Office have it built in.

Apple is looking less of a bad guy for abandoning flash.

That's OK. Somebody will have it dissected and hacked and uploaded to Pirate Bay in no time.

Since the "patch" is in fact upgrading to CS6, you are correct, good sir.

Except that they changed their minds about that, subby. Seems the outcry was a bit too much for them to proceed with that policy.

Adobe software always loads like a bloated pig, but you can't live without them

Or I could just use fotoshoop 7.0... All the good features and none of the bloat. Plus, nigh infinite free plugins, filters and scripts. Content aware? Bullshiat. A little skill and the clone stamp and I'm sitting pretty.

How quickly do you think Adobe got the "no class action" bit in after Concepcion vs. ATT. 10 seconds? Or were they that slow?
