(News24)   Any landing you can walk away from is a good one. Especially if a train is involved   (news24.com) divider line 19

Some of the names used, in the article, sound like noises you hear in the waiting room down at the Veterans Hospital.

I landed a whale once...I walked a few days later....I'll never forget, nor shall my friends.

This was the fourth plane crash in KwaZulu-Natal in the last two weeks.

Jefferies was unimpressed with the unauthorised landing. "During the brief conversation we had, they told me that they were going to land and then call me, but that is not how these things are done and I did not see any emergency."

Wow. What a dick.

I guess someone isn't old enough to remember Knott's Landing.

I can't pull up the article, but the Fark headline reminds me of the time a small plane ran out of fuel and had to make an emergency landing on the railroad tracks right next to where I used to work.

The pilot did manage to walk away, but it took a few hours to disassemble the plane and remove it. I doubt BNSF or Amtrak was happy having the tracks blocked for that long.

This guy sounds like he was trained to pilot a plane by playing BF3.

The men, who are said to be from Pretoria, were flying back to Gauteng in the afternoon when they apparently lost their bearings.

They spotted the private Zinkwazi airfield near Michaelhouse school in Balgowan, and they tried to make an emergency landing.

I hope TFA left out the "they were completely out of fuel" part.

I bet he and his passenger climbed out casually and put their sunglasses on as they walked away and didn't look back as the plane was smashed to pieces.
