Yes, as I pointed out earlier, they can't use real cigarettes on-set in LA anymore. They use some sort of herbal cigarette which everyone complains smells awful.

If you watch the commentary on the Easy Rider DVD someone claims that all the pot they smoked in that movie was real. I have no difficulty believing it. I suspect they may have actually dropped acid in New Orleans as well.

The herbal cigarettes smell awful and indeed everyone does complain about them. But they smell nothing like pot. (oddly enough Al Pacino actually smokes the herbals in real life)

I have used everything from Windex to antifreeze to create unique looking beverages. (There was one incident with the antifreeze and it actually made the OSHA newsletter)

Yeah, I don't know why everyone's giving you crap. Wouldn't hemp pretty much work for THC-free but smells like MJ? I've been to some hippie fests and I'm pretty sure that's what they were chucking on the fire, in plain view of cops. So it's not that hard to believe, and if they were getting high on stage it would be pretty easy to tell.

Whether it's an issue of tobacco in the work place, clean air regulations, or what you can show on tv, it's like saying, we can't show people drinking beer, so we'll have them do shots of whiskey instead.
