You'd think they'd do that at the end to help clear out the arena

Do you remember her appearance on Celebrity Deathmatch? Her screeches sounded like the mating calls of an enormous fictional reptile, which then appeared and carried her off.

(And if you're wondering it it went beyond mating calls, yes it did)

Hmm, hasn't a similar device also been used on Occupy protesters in America?
Maybe I'm thinking of that heat ray thing.

Either way, our police military has a great arsenal for dealing with those evil civilians.

My very reaction. Between being forced to comply with the brand exclusion zone, within which I can eat nothing but McDonald's, and being treated as if every attendee is a potential terriorist, why in the hell would anyone spend the money to attend?

Watch it on TV, at home, where you can wear, eat, and do whatever the hell you like, instead of being used.

In case of Sonic Attack on your district, follow these rules:
If you are making love it is imperative to bring all bodies to orgasm simultaneously.
Do not waste time blocking your ears.
Do not waste time seeking a "sound proofed" shelter.
Try to get as far away from the sonic source as possible
Do not panic
Do not panic
Use your wheels. It is what they are for.
Small babies may be placed inside the special cocoons
and should be left, if possible, in shelters.
Do not attempt to use your own limbs.
If no wheels are available - metal - not organic -
limbs should be employed whenever practical.
Remember:
In the case of sonic attack survival means
"Every man for himself"
Statistically more people survive if they think
only of themselves
Do not attempt to rescue friends, relatives, loved ones
You have only a few seconds to escape
Use those seconds sensibly or you will inevitably die
Think only of yourself
Think only of yourself
Do not panic
Think only of yourself
Think only of yourself
These are the first signs of sonic attack:
You will notice small objects - such as ornaments - oscillating
You will notice vibrations in your diaphragm
You will hear a distand hissing in your ears
You will feel the need to vomit
You will feel dizzy
You will have difficulty focussing
You will need to breathe more rapidly
There will be bleeding from orifices
There will be an ache in the pelvic region
You may be subject to fits of hysterical shouting or even laughter
These are all sign of imminent sonic destruction
Your only protection is flight
If you are less than ten years old
Remain in your shelter and use your cocoon
Remember - you can help no one else
You can help no one else
You can help no one else
Do not panic
Think only of yourself
Think only of yourself
Think only of yourself
Think only of yourself
Think only of yourself
Think only of yourself

This will be supported by preventing spectators from wearing clothing prominently displaying competing brands, or from entering the exclusion zone with unofficial snack and beverage choices. Within the Zone, the world's biggest McDonald's will be the only branded food outlet, and Visa will be the only payment card accepted.

Buh bye Olympics. Actually, I quit watching them years ago thanks to NBC's coverage. Bob Kostas can shove his unnaturally large head up his unnaturally small bunghole. I'm not interested in human interest stories nor am I interested in watching hours of commercials for seconds of action.

Does anyone else think this is getting has gotten completely stupid? TBH if I were planning to go and I heard there was even a CHANCE of someone using 'sonic weapons' or 'missiles from the rooftops', I would cancel my plans. You can watch this shiat on TV and probably have a better view that way.

And notice I said chance of USE, I'm not even concerned about what event might lead up to their use. At this point it seems far more likely they'd get deployed against a rowdy (drunk) crowd, not because of a real danger from *insert threat here*. And in London, during the Olympics, I'm thinking there's a far greater chance of rowdy crowds than anything else. No thanks, potential 'riot control'...

Growing up, one of my friend's dad was an Olympic nut. This house was full of Olympic memorabilia and they family attended/watched very Olympic religiously.

We hung out at my house a lot.
