Christopher Ruddy (June 15, 1997). "Bomb inventor says U.S. defenses suffer because of politics". Tribune-Review. Retrieved 2010-07-03. "With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of communism as we knew it, the Bush administration moved to dismantle all of our tactical nuclear weapons, including the Reagan stockpile of neutron bombs. In Cohen's mind, America was brought back to Square One. Without tactical weapons like the neutron bomb, America would be left with two choices if an enemy was winning a conventional war: surrender, or unleash the holocaust of strategic nuclear weapons."

Hmm. Looks like we did have neutron weapons at one time.

They were designed to be used against massed armor movements over
a battlefield, and had relatively "small" zones of effect.

If we ran a simulation using them on our own soil in the...um, designated areas, we'd require quite a great lot of them in order to sweep the population with the radiation pulse, but the fire damage/casualty rates would be much MUCH worse than the short term radiation-effect.

The fallout of neutron weapons would be very bad.

Logically speaking [as far as my limited understanding goes from a fast look at info] using neutron weapons would be ineffective, inefficient, and far more barbaric than Ebola, which I should never joke about again.

Not all of humanity. A lot of countries got past this nonsense a long time ago. They're laughing at us now.

No, it's the wealthy middle-aged white men with cement brains and limp and tiny dicks that want to control everyone Else's sex lives because they have none.

The fact that people keep electing these useless old farts means you get what you deserve.

Young people have to vote other young people in. Move ahead.

Take back your government and take out your worn out old trash.

Mind-bogging.

The focus on abstinence-only is the reason why you have so many teen births and STDs, you ignorant jack-holes.

Teach the kids proper sex-ed, and those things will go down.

Definitely a slippery slope sort of thing going on. What about gateway gateway body parts? The inner thighs may lead to the genitals, but the knees lead to the inner thighs. It's like Satan's highway down there.

That map is slightly inaccurate... West Virginia only became a state in 1863, when it split from Virginia. So while it may technically have been a border state after 1863, before then it was a member of the Confederacy.

Someone should inform this guy of the strong correlation between abstinence-only states and high teen birth rates, as well as the correlation of states with full sex ed and low(er) teen birth rates.

"Correlation doesn't equal causation" will be used by anyone to dismiss logic, but it's fairly damning here. Wasn't it in Texas where the teen birth rate shot up some 300%* after they introduced the most stringent abstinence-only curriculum in the country?

*: that is three times its original value, not that 300% of teenagers are getting pregnant.

He won't be swayed, though. It would cause him enough cognitive dissonance to shake up his world-view, and humans are notoriously bad at dealing with that.

the bible belt has the fattest americans
the bible belt the highest rates of high school drop outs
the bible belt has the highest rates of teen pregnancy yet spends the most on abstinence only programs for kids
the bible belt has the most uninsured people per capita

so basically these bible humping morans are fat, stupid, reproducing, sexually oppressed, and ailing.
