That's kind of the point. Abstinence-only sex education DOESN'T stop these dumb farks from reproducing.

All it takes is free condoms and lessons on how to use them and yet this idiot wants to spend millions more on an approach that has already yielded terrible results.

Insanity is repeating the same actions expecting a novel result.

2012-05-12 01:41:10 PM
might as well ban proms and school dances too.

where's Kevin Bacon when ya need him?

Good for them. The nice thing about having states is that its a place to go for all the people who agree with their dumb ideas.

Get them all into one nice location and if an.....accident....should happen...well, that'd be to bad.

2012-05-12 01:41:46 PM
Dear Tennessee Conservatives,

The less you educate them, the more likely they are to just go on this thing called 'the internet' and look it up for themselves. They will then find out that condoms work pretty well and will still be having hot, dirty teenage sex. Heck, they might even find out about S&M and other things that get your panties in a twist.

but it doesn't make any sense. you cannot say that you hate 'nanny state' governance that's always in your personal space and telling you what to do and then turn around and support nanny state governance that's always in your personal space telling you what to do.

that's not cognititive anything...that's f*cking insanity.

But he said it addresses the touching of certain "gateway body parts," including genitals, buttocks, breasts and the inner thigh.

So ear-farking is still ok? Phew.

Madness.

2012-05-12 01:45:51 PM
Centuries of attempting to repress and hide sexual expression haven't stopped youth pregnancy, adultery, and a host of other "undesirable" (to some) sexual behaviors, and yet the religious just keep on trying to make it work.

The definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Yet they are too entrenched in their madness to even consider something as rational as trying something different. Like say, responsible sexual education and making sexual expression something taken in calm stride instead of a cultural boogeyman.

I can almost buy the idea that the Republicans are becoming a party dedicated to the idea of a christian theocratic/authoritarian regime change in this country. but the problem there is the crossover with the Ayn Rand cultists who are using the GOP to push their perverted version of capitalism on the rest of the nation. how do you reconcile a bunch of money worshiping Randian cultists with a bunch of theocratic authoritarians? Granted, the prosperity gospel helps out with that but it still doesn't jibe into a coherent message that the Republicans can sell to the unwashed masses.

Plenty of small government republicans advocate a small federal government but have no problems with local or state government enacting crazy legislation under the belief you can move to a different area if you don't like laws passed.
